Hernandez (shoulder) has given up five earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out six in 4.1 innings over his five appearances for Triple-A Buffalo since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list Aug. 17. Hernandez was sidelined for just under two months with the right shoulder injury before rejoining the Buffalo bullpen. The 22-year-old righty owns a 3.33 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 34:9 K:BB across 24.1 innings at Triple-A on the campaign.... See More ... See Less

Blue Jays' Adrian Hernandez: Rehabbing at Single-A
Hernandez (shoulder) will shift his rehab assignment Tuesday from the Blue Jays' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate to Single-A Dunedin, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports. Hernandez currently resides on Triple-A Buffalo's 7-day injured list with a right shoulder injury that has kept him out of action for the Blue Jays' top affiliate since June 19. After coming out of two rehab appearances in the FCL no worse for the wear, Hernandez will now get a bump up in competition as he continues the buildup process. Before landing on the IL, Hernandez turned in a 1.80 ERA and 0.80 WHIP while striking out 28 in 20 innings at Triple-A.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jays' Adrian Hernandez: Diagnosed with shoulder soreness
Hernandez hasn't appeared in a game at Triple-A Buffalo since June 19 due to right shoulder soreness, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports. Although Hernandez has missed a week and a half of game action, he hasn't been placed on the injured list, and he began a throwing progression earlier this week. The right-hander has been effective over 21 appearances between the Double-A and Triple-A levels this year, as he's posted a 1.88 ERA and 0.88 WHIP across 24 innings. If he remains productive once he returns to game action, the 22-year-old should be in consideration to join the Blue Jays' bullpen sometime during the second half of the season.... See More ... Andrew Stoeten@AndrewStoeten2D agoAfter a big weekend at the Trop, the Blue Jays are looking as good as they have all season. Yowza. Here are today stray thoughts... Andrew Stoeten@AndrewStoeten6D agoLove going straight back to trying to make everyone as miserable as I am when the Blue Jays fall behind in a game. “It’s like riding a bike!” I say as I think about all the ways I’m sure they’ve already lost the rest of their games before even stepping on the field.

Andrew Stoeten@AndrewStoeten8D agoAll the permutations are tough to keep track of but I think the Blue Jays have a chance to win the AL West
