Single-A Palm Beach reinstated Honeyman (undisclosed) from its 7-day injured list Friday and transferred him to the rookie-level Florida Complex League.
The Complex League season is over, so the Cardinals may have just assigned Honeyman to rookie ball so that he can receive some more hands-on coaching at the team's spring training facility before he eventually gets the call back to Palm Beach. Honeyman slashed .321/.367/.446 with no home runs in 60 plate appearances for Palm Beach before landing on the injured list July 2.

Honeyman, a 22-year-old outfielder out of Boston College whom the Cardinals selected in the third round last year, would have likely been assigned to a full-season affiliate to start the season if he were healthy.
