Kloffenstein was placed on Triple-A Memphis' 7-day injured list Wednesday due to right shoulder discomfort, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
The right-hander made his major-league debut June 20 with a scoreless inning against San Francisco, but he's otherwise spent the campaign at Triple-A. Kloffenstein's shoulder is still being evaluated, so it's unclear how long he'll be sidelined.

After putting up a 3.97 ERA and 1.13 WHP through 77 innings at Triple-A, Kloffenstein will now come up from the minors to give St. Louis another multi-inning relief option in its bullpen. He'll take the place of Chris Roycroft, who was optioned to Memphis in a corresponding move.
