Rockets center Dwight Howard will not be charged with child abuse, the Atlanta Police announced Monday after an investigation into an allegation made by the mother of one of Howard's children, per the Houston Chronicle.
Howard was alleged to have caused bruises on his then 6-year-old son, no charges were filed in Atlanta or in Florida, where the case was originally investigated.
Howard's attorney filed a motion for contempt and enforcement to sanction Howard's former girlfriend Royce Reed for releasing private information about a child. In November, Howard filed a motion seeking sole custody of the boy, a motion still in litigation.
