VIDEO: Shaq takes on Kristen Ledlow in a free throw shooting contest
On "Inside the NBA" after Thursday night's games, Shaquille O'Neal and "NBA Inside Stuff" co-host Kristen Ledlow had a free throw contest.
The "Inside the NBA" crew on TNT has been known to have a good time and they certainly like reminding people they still have some basketball ability left in the tank. Thursday night after we saw Dwight Howard go 5-of-16 from the free throw line as Mike D'Antoni implemented the Smite-a-Dwight strategy, we were treated to another free throw contest that yielded about the same level of accuracy.
NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal brought his leopard championship belt to the court and took on new co-host of the relaunched "NBA Inside Stuff" Kristen Ledlow in a battle of free throws. Ledlow was at a bit of a disadvantage as she had Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley talking trash to her while trying to boost up Shaq's confidence. Ledlow calmly knocked down the first shot before missing her next four. Shaq made his first free throw before missing his next three. He rattled home the game-winning final attempt, proving what he's always said along.
Shaq makes them when they count.
Overall, we had a 30.0 percent performance from the two contestants, just shy of the 31.2 percent Dwight fired in Houston Thursday night.
The highlight of it all was probably Charles Barkley's comment on the Diesel's leopard belt saying, "I ain't seen a belt like that since I was down at The Cheetah." I'll leave the Google search to you to figure out what that is.
