Bertans produced no counting stats across zero minutes during Friday's 138-136 overtime win over the Warriors. Bertans logged a whopping 12 seconds in the overtime win, continuing his non-existent fantasy season. Given he has cracked the rotation only seven times all season, it appears as though Bertans' days of being a fantasy-relevant player are done.... See More ... See Less

Thunder's Davis Bertans: Cleared to play Sunday
Bertans (rest) is active for Sunday's preseason game against Charlotte. Bertans was inactive for Thursday's matchup for rest purposes, but it looks like he'll be back in action Sunday. The Thunder are resting their usual starters, so Bertans should see a solid role versus the Hornets.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Davis Bertans: Won't play against Detroit
Bertans will be a healthy scratch for Thursday's preseason game versus the Pistons, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports. Bertans will be inactive Thursday but hasn't suffered any injury. As the Thunder are likely just being cautious with the veteran forward, his next chance to suit up will be Sunday's preseason matchup with Charlotte.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Davis Bertans: Scores 12 points
Bertans recorded 12 points (4-6 FG, 4-6 3PT) and one steal in 10 minutes during Monday's 122-121 preseason win over the Spurs. This was a strong showing for the veteran floor spacer, and it's exactly what he needed after a poor season with the Mavericks in 2022-23. The Thunder have a lot of options in the frontcourt, so Bertans is facing an uphill battle for playing time. For fantasy purposes, he's essentially a one-category specialist.... See More ... Thunder's Davis Bertans: Dealt to OKC on Draft Night
Bertans was traded from the Mavericks to the Thunder on Thursday, along with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, in exchange for the No. 12 overall pick, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. While the Mavs move back two spots, they get off Bertans' contract and open up a significant Traded Player Exception, which could be used to bolster the roster around Luka Doncic and current free agent Kyrie Irving. Bertans is owed $17 million in 2023-24 and holds a $16 million player option for 2024-25. The Latvian wing appeared in only 45 games last season, averaging 4.6 points and 1.2 made threes on 43.1 percent shooting (39.0% 3Pt). With the No. 10 pick, the Thunder selected Kentucky guard Cason Wallace.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Davis Bertans: Scores 19 points in loss
Bertans provided 19 points (7-13 FG, 5-11 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 28 minutes during Sunday's 138-117 loss to the Spurs. Bertans had a minimal role off the bench all season long for the Mavericks, but he made the most of his lone start of the campaign. He ended the 2022-23 season with averages of 4.6 points, 1.2 rebounds and 0.5 assists across 10.9 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Davis Bertans: Will start finale
Bertans will start Sunday's game against the Spurs. With the Mavericks out of the playoff picture, Bertans slides into the starting lineup and will be joined by Theo Pinson, Frank Ntilikina, Jaden Hardy and Markieff Morris. In his last outing, Bertans posted 11 points in 15 minutes, but he figures to see a larger workload Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Davis Bertans: Makes first cameo since February
Bertans (calf) played 14 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's 113-106 loss to the Pelicans, finishing with six points (2-3 FG, 2-3 3Pt), four rebounds and three assists. Bertans was available for the third game in a row after a recent month-long absence due to a calf injury, but Wednesday marked the first time in that three-game stretch that he got off the bench. The absence of Reggie Bullock (quadriceps) and Maxi Kleber (rest) enabled Bertans to see some run off the bench in a competitive game, but it's unclear if he will be featured in the rotation if either or both of Bullock or Kleber are good to go for Saturday's game in Memphis.... Mavericks' Davis Bertans: Cleared Sunday
Bertans (calf) is available for Sunday's game against the Suns. As expected, Bertans has been upgraded from probable to available and will suit up versus Phoenix. If he garners any playing time, it'll be the sharpshooter's first game since Feb. 2. Before his lengthy absence, Bertans was playing around 12 minutes per game and wasn't making a strong enough impact to be fantasy relevant in standard leagues.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Davis Bertans: Upgraded to probable
Bertans (calf) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Suns. Bertans has been sidelined since Feb. 2 with a strained left calf but managed to log a full practice Friday, per Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News, and will carry a probable designation into Sunday's tilt. If Bertans plays, he would almost certainly be under a minutes restriction. Regardless, his return could knock Markeiff Morris out of the Mavericks' rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Davis Bertans: Won't play against Philadelphia
Bertans (calf) is out for Thursday's game versus the 76ers. Bertans' absence streak will extend to 11 games Thursday due to a left calf strain. His next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with Phoenix.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Davis Bertans: Remains out
Bertans (calf) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Pacers. Bertans recently resumed on-court work and could be cleared to practice later this week, but he'll miss a 10th straight game Tuesday. With fellow reserve big man Maxi Kleber (hamstring) poised to return to action before Bertans, the latter may not have a spot in head coach Jason Kidd's rotation waiting for him once he returns to full health.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Davis Bertans: Still out Sunday
Bertans (calf) will not play in Sunday's game against the Lakers. Bertans will miss a ninth consecutive contest with a strained left calf. With Maxi Kleber (hamstring) also still sidelined, Josh Green and Reggie Bullock should continue to see large workloads. Bertans' next chance to play will come Tuesday against Indiana.... Mavericks' Davis Bertans: Remains out versus San Antonio
Bertans (calf) won't play in Thursday's game versus the Spurs. Bertans will miss his eighth straight game Thursday due to a left calf strain. His next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with the Lakers, although there is no update on his return timetable.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Davis Bertans: Out through All-Star break
Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said Saturday that Bertans (calf) will "probably" remain sidelined through the All-Star break, Callie Caplan of The Dallas Morning News reports. "When we come back [from the break], we'll see where he's at," Kidd said of Bertans. Bertans exited Thursday's 111-106 win over the Pelicans with a left calf strain and underwent an MRI on Friday that apparently revealed that his injury was more significant than a day-to-day concern. The veteran forward will sit out the Mavericks' final six contests prior to the break before the Mavericks reassess his status.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Davis Bertans: Won't play Saturday
Bertans (calf) is out for Saturday's game versus the Warriors. Bertans will miss at least one game after exiting Thursday's contest against the Pelicans early with a left calf strain. His next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Utah, but it's currently unclear if the sharpshooting big man will be able to join the Mavericks at any point during their upcoming five-game road trip.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Davis Bertans: Exits with calf strain
Bertans won't return to Thursday's game against the Pelicans due to a left calf strain. Bertans was off to a hot start, draining three straight triples, but after converting his third three-pointer he limped off the court and went straight back to the locker room. He'll miss the remainder of Thursday's game, and for now, he should be considered questionable for Saturday's tilt with the Warriors. Bertans finished Thursday's contest with nine points (3-3 FG, 3-3 3Pt) and two rebounds.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Davis Bertans: Scores seven points in 13 minutes
Bertans amassed seven points (3-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt), one rebound and one steal across 13 minutes during Tuesday's 127-126 loss to Washington. Bertans saw double-digit minutes for the first time in over a week, continuing what has been an uneventful season thus far. He currently sits well outside the top 350 in standard formats, averaging just 10.8 minutes per night. If he were to ever crack a substantial role, he could be utilized as a three-point streaming option. However, based on what we have seen over the past couple of years, that feels highly unlikely.... Mavericks' Davis Bertans: Scoreless in 17 minutes
Bertans produced zero points (0-5 FG, 0-5 3Pt), one assist, one block and one steal in 17 minutes during Tuesday's 113-101 loss to the Clippers. Although Bertans looks 100 percent after recovering from an illness, his involvement with the offense remains minimal. The excellent play of Tim Hardaway and Norman Powell has created a logjam below them on the depth chart, and it's forced Bertans' playing time to a near standstill. It's a stark difference for Bertans, who enjoyed a more significant role during his three-year tenure with the Wizards.... See More ... See Less -
Mavericks' Davis Bertans: Scores season-high 18 points
Bertans recorded 18 points (6-9 FG, 6-9 3Pt) and one block across 16 minutes during Monday's 116-106 loss to the Timberwolves. Bertans was recently battling an illness and made just his third appearance since Dec. 5, but with Dwight Powell (thigh) and Maxi Kleber (hamstring) sidelined, the sharpshooter saw a solid role and made the most of his opportunity by scoring a season-high 18 points. Kleber is expected to be out for a month or two, so Bertans figures to get plenty of looks as a backup floor spacer in Kleber's absence, especially if he continues to shoot like he did Monday night....
