Powell contributed 18 points (4-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), two rebounds, three assists and four steals across 33 minutes during Saturday's 124-120 loss to the Wizards.
The veteran wing led all players in steals on the night, and only Trae Young drained more three-pointers. Powell is looking exactly as advertised to begin his tenure with the Wizards, averaging 19.3 points, 3.7 boards, 2.3 threes, 2.0 steals and 1.7 assists through three games, and his 8.3 three-point attempts a contest would actually be a career high if he can maintain that volume.

Bulls' Norman Powell: Tallies 15 points in Chicago debut
Powell ended with 15 points (3-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 7-11 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal over 22 minutes during Wednesday's 135-92 loss to Toronto.
Powell didn't have the most efficient night from the field, but he finished tied for the third-most points on the Bulls thanks to his seven made free throws, though he connected on only 63.6 percent of his attempts from the charity stripe. Powell averaged over 21.0 points per game in each of the last two seasons, but his offensive output may be limited while playing alongside the young core of Josh Giddey, Matas Buzelis and rookie fourth-overall pick Caleb Wilson.

Bulls' Norman Powell: Active at charity stripe Wednesday
Powell totaled 16 points (3-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 8-10 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 22 minutes in Wednesday's 125-104 preseason win over Milwaukee.
After not seeing the court in Sunday's contest, Powell returned to the starting lineup Wednesday and did much of his damage at the charity stripe. The shooting guard has scored in double figures in all three of his preseason appearances. After averaging 21.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals in 58 regular-season appearances with Miami last season, Powell should have ample scoring opportunities as a veteran presence on a young Chicago team during the 2026-27 campaign.

Powell registered 17 points (3-6 FG, 1-2 FT, 10-12 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal over 19 minutes during the Bulls' 104-100 preseason loss to the Grizzlies.
Powell attempted only six field goals during Friday's exhibition game, but thanks to his work at the charity stripe, he finished as the Bulls' second-leading scorer behind rookie Caleb Wilson (21 points). Powell inked a two-year contract with the Bulls in July following his 2025-26 All-Star campaign with the Heat and will form a starting backcourt with Josh Giddey for the upcoming season. Matas Buzelis left Friday's game early due to an ankle injury, and although it was likely a precautionary move to leave him off the court the rest of the way, it's an injury that could impact Powell's usage early on in the season.

Bulls' Norman Powell: Headed to Chicago
Powell agreed to a two-year, $45 million contract with the Bulls on Wednesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Powell has averaged at least 21 points per game in each of the past two seasons, including his first All-Star appearance during his age-32 campaign with the Heat in 2025-26. However, the veteran will now join his third team in as many years, likely serving as the starting shooting guard next to Josh Giddey in Chicago's backcourt.
