Hawks' CJ McCollum: Nearly triple-doubles
McCollum ended Monday's 108-104 win over Indiana with 13 points (4-17 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds, 12 assists, one block and one steal across 32 minutes.
McCollum endured a rough shooting night but compensated with a season-high 12 assists, narrowly missing a triple-double. He helped orchestrate Atlanta's offense while Nickeil Alexander-Walker carried the scoring load with 34 points. McCollum's playmaking and rebounding salvaged an otherwise inefficient outing, highlighting his ability to contribute to fantasy lineups even when his shot isn't falling.

Hawks' CJ McCollum: Team-high 14 points
McCollum finished Saturday's 121-99 loss to New Orleans with 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal over 24 minutes.
The Hawks struggled offensively Saturday, with the team connecting on 38.5 percent of their field-goal attempts (including 8-for-46 from three-point range). McCollum still led Atlanta in scoring, although the veteran guard is averaging only 14.4 points per game this season, which would be his lowest since the 2014-15 season with the Trail Blazers (6.8). He's not expected to be a 20-point scorer on a night-to-night basis, but McCollum would be in line for an expanded role offensively if Jalen Johnson (ankle) were to miss time.

Hawks' CJ McCollum: Drops season-high 20 points
McCollum amassed 20 points (8-16 FG, 4-7 3Pt), one rebound, three assists and three steals in 30 minutes during Monday's 120-110 loss to the Rockets.
McCollum scored at least 20 points for the first time this season, while also tallying a season-high three steals. To this point, he has been solid enough for fantasy managers, averaging 17.3 points, 2.3 assists and 2.8 three-pointers in 26.4 minutes per game. At this stage in his career, McCollum is basically a points and threes guy, which should see him flirt with top 100 value most of the season.

Hawks' CJ McCollum: Efficient in victory
McCollum amassed 19 points (7-9 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds and three assists over 25 minutes during Wednesday's 132-125 victory over the Magic.
McCollum made an immediate impact in Atlanta's starting backcourt, knocking down four triples while missing just two shots from the field. Although Nickeil Alexander-Walker led the Hawks with 31 points, McCollum provided efficient complementary scoring and should remain a dependable source of points and three-pointers.

Hawks' CJ McCollum: Resting Monday
McCollum (rest) won't play in Monday's preseason game against the Thunder, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
McCollum and most of Atlanta's regulars won't play in the penultimate preseason game. McCollum recorded 12 points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 7-7 FT) and five rebounds across 19 minutes in Saturday's 119-117 preseason win over the Pacers.

Hawks' CJ McCollum: Scores 12 points Saturday
McCollum recorded 12 points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 7-7 FT) and five rebounds across 19 minutes in Saturday's 119-117 preseason win over the Pacers.
McCollum attempted just four field goals but made the most of his opportunities at the free-throw line, converting all seven attempts, and his five rebounds were a nice addition to the stat line as well. The veteran guard is likely to earn most of his value through his scoring and playmaking once the regular season begins, though. He averaged 18.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game across 76 regular-season outings in 2025-26 and is locked into a first-unit role for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign as well.

Hawks' CJ McCollum: Knocks down four threes
McCollum finished with 14 points (5-11 FG, 4-6 3Pt), five rebounds and four assists across 19 minutes in Thursday's 123-116 preseason win over the Spurs.
McCollum provided efficient perimeter scoring, connecting on four of his six attempts from beyond the arc while leading Atlanta's starters with 14 points. The veteran guard also contributed five rebounds, including three on the offensive glass, and dished out four assists. His ability to stretch the floor and create offense should make him a valuable contributor in Atlanta's backcourt, so fantasy managers shouldn't be concerned over his limited playing time in the preseason. McCollum is locked into a starting role ahead of the regular-season opener against the Magic on Oct. 21.

McCollum will avoid free agency and remain with Atlanta after being acquired from the Wizards in January. Over 41 regular-season appearances (25 starts) with the Hawks last season, the veteran guard averaged 18.7 points, 4.1 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.0 steals while shooting 45.6 percent from the floor in 28.8 minutes per showing.
