  • Rodney Hood: Calls it a career

Hood announced Thursday that he is retiring, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports. Hood spent eight seasons in the NBA with the Jazz, Cavaliers, Bucks, Clippers, Raptors and Trail Blazers. Arguably, his best season came in 2017-18 when he made 60 appearances for Cleveland and Utah and averaged 14.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 26.9 minutes.

  • Clippers' Rodney Hood: Wakes up with 10 points

Hood had 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal over 11 minutes during Tuesday's 112-97 loss to the Warriors. Since his trade to the Clippers, we haven't seen much from Hood, but he had a very accurate night in limited action Tuesday. It was his best showing in a Clippers uniform thus far, and although his fantasy impact will be minimal, he's one injured player away from a more significant role.

  • Clippers' Rodney Hood: Traded to Clippers

Hood and Semi Ojeleye were traded from the Bucks to the Clippers on Thursday as part of a four-team trade, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Serge Ibaka was traded from the Clippers to the Bucks, Donte DiVincenzo was dealt from the Bucks to the Kings, Josh Jackson and Trey Lyles were traded from the Pistons to the Kings, and Marvin Bagley was traded from the Kings to the Pistons. Hood joined Milwaukee ahead of the 2021-22 campaign but had inconsistent playing time for the team while playing exclusively off the bench. He averaged 3.3 points and 1.7 rebounds in 14.9 minutes per game across his first 39 appearances of the season and will now attempt to carve out a slightly more consistent role with the Clippers.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Returns from Achilles issue

Hood (Achilles) logged zero points (0-2 FG) and one assist in six minutes off the bench Sunday in the Bucks' 136-100 loss to the Nuggets. Hood was available after missing the Bucks' previous game Friday versus the Knicks due to the minor Achilles issue. The veteran wing hasn't played more than 13 minutes in any of his last six appearances and is unlikely to have a major role on the Bucks' second unit while Milwaukee is at or near full strength at shooting guard and small forward.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Listed as probable

Hood (Achilles) is probable for Sunday's game against the Nuggets. Hood was unavailable Friday against the Knicks due to a sore right Achilles, but he appears likely to play against Denver. The 29-year-old has averaged 2.0 points in 8.5 minutes per game across his last two appearances.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Officially out Friday

Hood (Achilles) is out Friday against the Knicks. Hood is dealing with right Achilles soreness and will be unable to suit up Friday. Jordan Nwora and Thanasis Antetokounmpo could see a slight uptick in playing time against New York.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Unlikely to play Friday

Hood (Achilles) is listed as doubtful for the Bucks' contest against the Knicks on Friday. Hood has been dealing with a lingering Achilles injury that he suffered in December. If Hood is unable to play, expect Wesley Matthews (knee) and Donte DiVincenzo to see an increase in minutes against the Knicks. Hood could return to the rotation as soon as Sunday against the Nuggets if he is unable to play against the Knicks.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Scoreless in 19 minutes Saturday

Hood racked up zero points (0-5 FG, 0-4 3Pt), one rebound and one block across 18 minutes during Saturday's 114-106 loss to Charlotte. Hood was invisible in the loss, barely bothering the statisticians in what was a very poor performance. While Hood does add some perimeter scoring to the Bucks' bench, he is far too unreliable to be viewed as a viable fantasy commodity.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Not listed on injury report

Hood (Achilles) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Wednesday's contest against the Rockets. Hood missed the Bucks' 119-90 loss to the Cavaliers on Saturday with a right Achilles contusion, but it appears he will be good to go Wednesday. The Bucks are also expected to get Khris Middleton (knee), Wesley Matthews (COVID-19 protocols) and Grayson Allen (rest) back against the Rockets, so Hood should operate in his usual role off the bench.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Out vs. Cavs

Hood (Achilles) is out for Saturday's matchup against the Cavaliers, Austin Carr of Bally Sports reports. As expected, Hood is dealing with an Achilles injury that will cost him Saturday's contest. The Bucks will continue to pull from deep bench options.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Doubtful Saturday

Hood is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers with a right Achilles contusion, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports. Hood has been a key piece on the Bucks' bench this season, averaging 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 15.8 minutes per game. It's unclear when he may have suffered the injury, but he'll likely leave the Bucks even more shorthanded since he's not expected to play. Expect heavy usage for Grayson Allen, Pat Connaughton and George Hill in the backcourt alongside Jrue Holiday.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Joins starting five

Hood is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pacers. With Giannis Antetokounmpo (COVID-19) and Khris Middleton (knee) sidelined, Hood will make his first start of the season. The 29-year-old is averaging just 3.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in 15.5 minutes per game this season, but he should see additional playing time as long as the Bucks' stars are out.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Expected to play Friday

Hood is listed as probable for Friday's game against the Nuggets with a sore left Achilles' tendon. The injury shouldn't prevent Hood from playing Friday, but he's unlikely to provide much fantasy value in his current bench role with Milwaukee. In his first three games back from a recent absence due to a hamstring strain, Hood is averaging 2.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 17.7 minutes.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Likely available Monday

Hood (hamstring) is probable for Monday's game against the Magic. Hood was deemed doubtful for Saturday's matchup with the Magic, but he was able to suit up and played 17 minutes in his return from a two-game absence. Through 10 appearances this season, the Duke product is averaging 3.6 points and 1.9 rebounds across 13.8 minutes per game.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Upgraded to available

Hood (hamstring) is available for Saturday's matchup against the Magic. Despite being initially listed as doubtful, Hood will be able to take the court. In 13.3 minutes per game, he's averaging 3.8 points and 1.9 rebounds.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Deemed doubtful

Hood (hamstring) is listed as doubtful ahead of Saturday's matchup with the Magic. Hood is trending towards a second straight missed game. He is a fringe-rotational player for the Bucks, so a potential absence does not figure to impact anyone else's minutes.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Won't play Friday

Hood has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Thunder due to a right hamstring strain, Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Hood wasn't initially listed on the Bucks' injury report, but he'll be unavailable against Oklahoma City. George Hill and Semi Ojeleye could see a slight uptick in playing time.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Good to go Tuesday

Hood (hand) will be available Tuesday against Detroit. Hood has played fairly limited minutes in his first four games with the Bucks, but he could be set for a slightly larger role Tuesday as Milwaukee once again plays without both Khris Middleton (COVID-19 protocols) and Jrue Holiday (ankle). Hood finished Sunday's loss to the Jazz with zero points, one rebound and one assist in 11 minutes.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Probable for Tuesday

Hood (hand) is probable for Tuesday's contest against the Pistons. Hood left Sunday's contest against the Jazz with a left hand contusion, but he is expected to be available Tuesday. The Bucks will be without Khris Middleton (health and safety protocols) and Jrue Holiday (ankle) against the Pistons, so if Hood is able to suit up, he may see an increased role off the bench.

  • Bucks' Rodney Hood: Exits Sunday

Hood (hand) suffered a left hand contusion and was forced to exit Milwaulkee's contest against Utah on Sunday, Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. The veteran guard was forced to miss the first three games of the season with a foot injury and now is dealing with a hand injury. He did not return to Sunday's game and should be considered day-to-day until the team indicates otherwise. Milwaukee is off Monday before beginning its three-game Week 3 schedule at Detroit on Tuesday.
