Ryan Ward@RyanWardLA2H agoPer Lakers: Luka Dončić recorded his 86th career triple-double tonight in San Antonio with a 38-point, 10-rebound and 10-assist performance. It marks his fourth triple-double of the season, tying Russell Westbrook for the fourth-most in the NBA this season. -
Jovan Buha@jovanbuha2H agoFinal: Spurs 107, Lakers 91 LA drops to 23-12 and No. 5 in the West (though they can jump to No. 4 if HOU loses to POR). Luka Doncic had 38 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 7 turnovers. Jake LaRavia was the only other Laker in double figures. Up next: vs. MIL on Friday. -
Jovan Buha@jovanbuha3H agoThird quarter: Spurs 79, Lakers 68 LA just hasn’t been to score consistently enough tonight without LeBron, AR and Rui. Non-Luka Lakers are a combined 14-for-44 from the floor (31.8%). Luka has 33 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals. No one else in is double figures. -
Jovan Buha@jovanbuha3H agoHalftime: Spurs 48, Lakers 43 That was one of Luka’s best halves of the season — he’s single-handedly kept the Lakers in this game offensively. He has 22 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists (all of LA’s) and 2 steals. LA has missed a ton of open looks. This has been a rock fight. -
Mike Trudell@LakersReporter3H agoThe Lakers head into halftime trailing 48-43, shooting just 36.4% in the first half, including 4 of 20 from 3. They did hold SAS to 42.1% FG's, and 2 of 14 from 3, but allowed 18 FTA's to their 10. Both teams committed 9 turnovers. -
Mike Trudell@LakersReporter4H agoWhen LA are whole, the start of the 2nd Q is typically when the Lakers would have an advantage over many opponents, with both LeBron and Austin Reaves out there as Doncic rests. But with LeBron, Reaves and Hachimura all out tonight, LA's 3rd unit has struggled here. -
Jovan Buha@jovanbuha4H agoFirst quarter: Spurs 26, Lakers 23 A solid opening frame for the shorthand Lakers. Despite a ton of self-inflicted wounds (mainly TOs and fouls), they’re hanging around. That was a brilliant quarter from Luka, who has 12 points, 4 assists and 2 steals. SAS has attempted 15 FTs. -
Mike Trudell@LakersReporter4H agoDespite 5 turnovers, and putting the Spurs on the FT line for 15 attempts, the Lakers have tied the score at 23 on a Luka Dončić and-1 in the paint. -
