Poeltl chipped in 12 points (6-9 FG), 12 rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 28 minutes during Friday's 119-106 loss to New York. Poeltl led all players in Friday's game in rebounds while finishing as the lone Raptors player with a double-double in a home defeat. Poeltl has hauled in 10 or more rebounds in 10 games this season, posting a double-double in nine of those outings.... See More ... See Less

Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Double-doubles in loss
Poeltl ended with 18 points (8-9 FG, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 35 minutes during Sunday's 105-102 loss to Cleveland. This was Poeltl's eighth double-double of the season, and his 18 points mark a new season high. Poeltl's workload is trending up, and the same is true of his production. Over his last six games, Poeltl has posted fifth-round value in nine-category leagues with averages of 12.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 29.3 minutes.... Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Double-doubles in win
Poeltl notched 15 points (7-8 FG, 1-5 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals across 31 minutes during Friday's 121-108 win over Chicago. This was the seventh double-double of the season for Poeltl as he continues to trend up in fantasy basketball. He's been on fire from the field over his last five games, shooting 86.7 percent with averages of 11.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 blocks.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Records efficient double-double
Poeltl notched 16 points (6-6 FG, 4-5 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists, three blocks and one steal across 25 minutes during Sunday's 142-113 victory over the Pistons. Poeltl was perfect from the floor during Sunday's matchup and matched his best scoring total of the season during the comfortable win while also posting his fifth double-double of the year. He's scored in double figures in five consecutive matchups, averaging 13.0 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 26.2 minutes per game during that time.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Top rebounder in double-double
Poeltl chipped in 13 points (6-10 FG, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and four steals in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 128-112 loss to the Bucks. Poeltl led all players in Wednesday's game in rebounds while finishing as the lone Raptors player with a double-double and ending as the team leader in steals and blocks. Poeltl has hauled in 10 or more boards in five games this season, tallying a double-double in four of those contests.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Solid output Monday
Poeltl registered 13 points (6-8 FG, 1-3 FT), six rebounds and five assists over 24 minutes during Monday's 111-107 victory over the Wizards. Poeltl could not record his fourth double-double of the season, but he made his presence felt and scored in double digits for the fourth time across six appearances in November. Poeltl holds a secondary role on offense, but he can produce enough to be valuable in most fantasy formats and category-based leagues.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Limited impact Saturday
Poeltl had 12 points (6-10 FG), three rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes during Saturday's 117-94 loss to the Celtics. Poeltl scored in double digits for just the fourth time this season, but there was not much he could've done to stop the Celtics' dominant frontcourt, as he was matched up with Kristaps Porzingis during the entire contest. Over his last six appearances, Poeltl has averaged 11.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.8 steals-plus-blocks in 25.8 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Flirts with double-double in defeat
Poeltl recorded nine points (4-8 FG, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and one block across 28 minutes during Thursday's 114-99 loss to the 76ers. Poeltl saw extended time in the starting lineup Thursday against Philadelphia with the continued absence of Precious Achiuwa (groin), nearing a double-double while finishing one point and one rebound shy of accomplishing the feat. Poeltl has been a nice presence in the paint for the Raptors this season, posting at least nine points and nine boards in three straight outings.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Strong showing against Milwaukee
Poeltl closed Wednesday's 130-111 win over the Bucks with 14 points (7-10 FG), 11 rebounds, two assists and four blocks in 29 minutes. The 28-year-old center recorded his second straight double-double after a sluggish start to the season, and Poeltl also recorded multiple blocks for the first time in five games. The Raptors are still adjusting to a new coach, new scheme and a new point guard in Dennis Schroder, but Poeltl appears to have figured things out quickly, shooting 71.0 percent from the floor to begin the campaign.... Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Double-double against Blazers
Poeltl accumulated 14 points (6-8 FG, 2-3 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and one block across 28 minutes during Monday's 99-91 loss to Portland. It's the first double-double of the season in four games for Poeltl, as he hadn't scored more than eight points in any of the Raptors' first three games. The 28-year-old center is cashing in his scoring opportunities, shooting 71.4 percent from the floor, but otherwise his numbers are a little below his usual pace as the team around him has a sluggish start to the season.... Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Logs just 19 minutes in OT loss
Poeltl had eight points (4-5 FG) and six rebounds over 19 minutes before fouling out of Friday's 104-103 overtime loss to Chicago. Poeltl's lack of minutes had much to do with his foul trouble throughout the game, and he played less than four minutes in the fourth quarter before fouling out. His lack of playing time may be something to monitor during the early portion of the season -- foul trouble or not -- as he logged just 24 minutes in the season opener Wednesday. Poeltl will have his hands full Saturday against reigning MVP Joel Embiid, who averaged 11.7 free throws per game last season.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Will play Friday
Poeltl (illness) will play in Friday's preseason finale against Washington, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports. As expected, Poeltl will play after missing back-to-back exhibitions due to an illness. He'll presumably start, but Poeltl may be limited following a week-long absence.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Expected to suit up Friday
Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic expects Poeltl (illness) to play in Friday's preseason finale against the Wizards, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports. Poeltl is expected to return to the lineup Friday after missing the previous two games with an illness. The 27-year-old big man should start at center for Toronto once again this season.... Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Missing exhibition due to illness
Poeltl (illness) is out for Sunday's preseason scrimmage against the Cairns Taipans of the Australian NBL, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports Poeltl will be joined by Precious Achiuwa (groin) and Christian Koloko (illness) as inactives, resulting in a thin Toronto frontcourt. Poeltl's next opportunity to play is Tuesday against Chicago.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Staying in Toronto
The Raptors signed Poeltl to a four-year, $80 million contract Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Poeltl was traded from the Spurs to the Raptors at the trade deadline last year. In 42 games with Toronto (41 starts), the veteran big man averaged 12.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.3 blocks and 0.9 steals in 26.8 minutes. Poeltl figures to be Toronto's starting center in 2023-24 and should be a quality fantasy asset if he can stay healthy.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Swats four shots in win
Poeltl finished with 16 points (8-12 FG), nine rebounds, four blocks, three assists and one steal over 30 minutes during Sunday's 128-108 win over the Hornets. Though he narrowly missed out on a fifth straight game with double-digit rebounds, Poeltl still came through with a strong contribution in the category while converting from the field with his usual efficiency and ending his recent shot-blocking drought. Before swatting away four shots Sunday, Poeltl had been limited to three rejections over his previous four games combined.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Posts efficient double-double
Poeltl finished with 14 points (6-8 FG, 2-4 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes during Friday's 117-110 loss to the 76ers. Poeltl made the most of his opportunities on the offensive end by knocking down 75.0 percent of his tries from the field. He also grabbed 10 rebounds, securing double-digit boards for his fourth straight contest. The Utah product is averaging 13.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 blocks over his last 10 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Modest performance in win
Poeltl ended with two points (1-5 FG), 10 rebounds, one assist and one block over 23 minutes during Tuesday's 106-92 win over the Heat. Poeltl turned in arguably his worst performance since returning to Toronto. He was in early foul trouble, limiting him to just 23 minutes and perhaps taking him out of his rhythm. While he has slowed over the past two weeks, the last month has yielded top-30 production. The Raptors will likely continue to run a shallow rotation, so Poeltl should be able to maintain his current trajectory moving forward.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Hits for 23 against Indiana
Poeltl contributed 23 points (10-12 FG, 3-9 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 118-114 loss to the Pacers. The 27-year-old center continues to thrive in his return to the Raptors. Over the last 15 games, Poeltl is averaging 16.8 points, 9.9 boards, 2.6 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.5 steals while shooting 67.7 percent from the floor, numbers that would represent a career-best pace if he were able to maintain them over a full season.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Jakob Poeltl: Another double-double
Poeltl chipped in 14 points (7-8 FG), 11 rebounds and two assists across 25 minutes during Saturday's 122-107 victory over the Timberwolves. Poeltl missed just one shot from the field and posted his fourth straight double-double. During that stretch, the sturdy center has averaged 14.8 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 28.5 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less

Josh Lewenberg@JLew10502D agoBarnes was awesome but didn't get enough help and the Raptors didn't defend well enough to make up for brutal 3-point shooting (even for them). A good recipe for a bad loss. Raptors are 9-11 after 20 games and continue to alternate great wins and ugly losses.
