Brunson turned his ankle earlier in the quarter and exited to the locker room. However, the star point guard returned to the bench shortly thereafter and appears to be good to go for the remainder of the contest after checking back in.

Brunson checked out of this one with 10:29 remaining in the third quarter and can be considered questionable to return until more information comes to light. If the star point guard is unable to return, Miles McBride and Jose Alvarado will likely help pick up the slack.

Brunson had an opportunity to help the Knicks win the game in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter, but he turned the ball over in the clutch. The 29-year-old had a below-average night in terms of shooting efficiency, though he still managed to finish second on his squad in scoring behind OG Anunoby's 29-point night. Brunson has put up 25-plus points in each of the first three games of the series and will need to continue to be a big part of the offensive plan if New York intends to respond from two straight losses.

Brunson, who was making his return from a one-game absence due to an ankle injury, didn't have his best performance in what was a favorable matchup on paper. However, the Knicks didn't need him to take over offensively in what turned out to be a 40-point win. Still, Brunson posted his first double-double since the loss to the Hornets on March 26, but he's failed to reach the 20-point plateau in back-to-back games, something that hadn't happened since a two-game stretch between March 4 and March 6. One bad game won't define Brunson's impressive season, but his workload and playing time are two things worth monitoring closely with the regular season coming to an end Sunday, April 12.
