  • James Webb III: Double-double off bench

Webb III registered 25 points (7-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 9-9 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists and two steals in 30 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 138-131 win at Northern Arizona.

Webb has scored 14 or more points in his last four appearances with Iowa while shooting exactly 50 percent from the field during that stretch. He has grabbed double-digit boards in two straight games as well, so he's doing more than just scoring of late.

  • James Webb III: Posts double-double

Webb III notched 20 points (9-17 FG, 2-8 3Pt), 13 rebounds, two steals and one assist in 30 minutes during Saturday's 122-107 loss to the Oklahoma City Blue.

Webb continues his torrid stretch of form, and he has posted double-digit scoring performances in nine of his last 10 games while grabbing six or more boards in all but one of those contests. He continues to showcase potential as a legit double-double threat on a nightly basis.

  • James Webb III: Averaging double-digit minutes

Through two appearances with the Wolves, Webb III has produced 9.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and a block through his initial year with the squad. Unfortunately, he has missed time recently due to injury or illness.

Webb had his most productive stretch in 2018-19 with the Long Island Nets, recording 14.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 19 appearances. He should return to a consistent role once the big man is healthy.

  • Nets' James Webb: Non-factor

Webb appeared in 10 games with Brooklyn in 2017-18 and mustered 1.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.4 assists per contest.

Webb spent most of the season in the G League and when he was called up to the Nets, he wasn't a factor at all as his stats would indicate. His season high of only six points came on Feb. 6 against Houston. It's likely that Webb would find himself on a G League team come next season.

  • Nets' James Webb: Recalled from G-League

Webb was recalled from the G-League on Monday, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.

With the G-League regular season completing last weekend, Webb, who's on a two-way contract, will be eligible to remain with Brooklyn for the rest of the 2017-18 campaign. He ended up playing 40 games in the G-League, posting averages of 12.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 steals across 28.7 minutes. Despite rejoining the big club, Webb remains buried on the depth chart and could have trouble finding consistent minutes in the rotation if the roster remains healthy.

Webb signed a two-way deal with the Nets on Monday, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports.

  • James Webb: Let go by Sixers

Webb was waived by the Sixers on Monday, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Webb took part in five games with the Sixers during the preseason, while posting averages of 4.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.4 assists over 15.4 minutes per outing. It wasn't enough to lock him into a regular season roster spot, but his D-League rights are held by the Sixers, so it wouldn't be surprising if he opened the season with their affiliate, the Delaware 87ers.
