Bulls' Josh Giddey: Teases triple-double against Wizards
Giddey racked up nine points (3-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, 10 assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Saturday's 124-120 loss to Washington.
The 24-year-old guard has yet to score in double digits as he puts a preseason wrist issue behind him, but Giddey has 19 assists over the last two games as he builds chemistry with new teammates Caleb Wilson and Norman Powell. Giddey nearly averaged a triple-double in 2025-26 with 17.0 points, 9.1 assists and 8.3 boards a game, and he should quickly return to that level of production once he's back in the flow.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Struggles continue Friday
Giddey posted six points (3-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt), four rebounds and nine assists over 25 minutes during Friday's 132-125 victory over Milwaukee.
Giddey played through a wrist injury, although he was certainly far from his best once again. Although he did manage a game-high nine assists, his scoring was well below expectations, as was his playing time. Given that fantasy managers likely invested a high draft pick to secure him, the only course of action is to ride this out and hope he turns things around sooner rather than later. For those interested in acquiring Giddey, now would be a good time to throw out a buy-low offer.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Cleared to play Friday
Giddey (wrist) is available for Friday's game against the Bucks.
Giddey was previously listed as probable due to a left wrist sprain, but he'll be able to suit up for the first half of Chicago's back-to-back set. The injury reportedly affected his shooting during Wednesday's season opener against Toronto, when he managed just two points on 1-for-10 shooting. His availability is encouraging, though the wrist issue could continue to affect his offensive efficiency.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Expected to play Friday
Giddey (wrist) is probable for Friday's game against the Bucks.
The star guard is expected to suit up for the first half of this back-to-back set. Giddey will be looking to right the ship after scoring just two points during Wednesday's blowout loss in Toronto.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Poor performance in 2026-27 opener
Giddey provided two points (1-10 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 0-2 FT), seven rebounds and six assists across 24 minutes during Wednesday's 135-92 loss to Toronto.
Giddey couldn't get anything going offensively, missing all but one of his 10 field-goal attempts while contributing to five of the Bulls' 27 turnovers. His minus-39 point differential was second-worst on the team only to rookie Caleb Wilson (minus-45) in what was about as bad of a start to the season as you can get for the Bulls. Giddey is coming off a career year in 2025-26, and his next chance to get back on track is Friday against the Bucks.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Inefficient shooting night Friday
Giddey finished with 12 points (4-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one block across 19 minutes in Friday's 133-116 preseason win over Minnesota.
Giddey had an inefficient shooting night to close out the preseason. The 24-year-old is coming off his most productive campaign in 2025-26, averaging 17.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 9.1 assists, all career highs, along with 1.0 steals over 32.1 minutes per contest. However, he was limited to 54 regular-season games. Giddey has All-Star upside, though he will need to stay healthy, which has been an issue at times over the years.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Dishes eight dimes against Denver
Giddey scored seven points (1-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT) while adding eight assists, one rebound, one steal and one block in 24 minutes during Sunday's preseason loss to the Nuggets.
The 24-year-old guard didn't make his usual impact with his shot or on the glass, but Giddey did lead the Bulls in assists on the night. Through three exhibition contests, he's averaging 9.0 points, 6.0 dimes, 3.0 boards, 1.0 threes and 1.0 blocks in 23.3 minutes, but his track record suggests he'll again be a regular triple-double threat once his workload increases and the games begin to count -- his 13 triple-doubles in 2025-26 tied the Hawks' Jalen Johnson for second in the league, behind only Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic's 34.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Chips in 13 points in Friday's loss
Giddey finished Friday's 104-100 preseason loss to Memphis with 13 points (3-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-7 FT), three assists, three rebounds and one block over 23 minutes.
Giddey was one of four Bulls players to score in double digits during Friday's exhibition contest, and he finished as the team's third-leading scorer behind rookie Caleb Wilson (21) and veteran Norman Powell (17). Giddey is aiming to build off a productive 2025-26 season, during which he averaged career highs across the board, including in points (17.0), assists (9.1) and rebounds (8.3), though his 44.8 percent field-goal rate were his lowest since his rookie campaign with the Thunder in 2021-22 (41.9 percent on 12.4 FGA/G).

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Hands out seven dimes
Giddey finished with seven points (1-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, seven assists and one block in 23 minutes during Wednesday's 124-117 preseason win over Phoenix.
Giddey struggled with his shot but remained effective as a facilitator, leading Chicago in assists during the preseason opener. The 24-year-old guard should continue serving as the Bulls' primary playmaker, with his contributions in assists and rebounds providing fantasy value even when his scoring is limited.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Cleared for camp
Giddey (ankle) will be a full participant at training camp, Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic reports.
After undergoing ankle surgery in the spring, Giddey will have no restrictions at camp this fall. The star guard is primed for another big season as the Bulls' go-to playmaker, fresh off recording a career-high 17.0 points, 9.1 assists and 8.3 rebounds per game for Chicago in 2025-26.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Frontcourt additions incoming
Giddey (ankle) could benefit from the selections of Caleb Wilson and Dailyn Swain as well as Chicago's acquisition of Nic Claxton (finger) in 2026-27.
Chicago has focused primarily on frontcourt additions so far this offseason with their recent moves, setting up Giddey with plenty of talent around him for playmaking opportunities. Anfernee Simons (wrist) and Collin Sexton are both unrestricted free agents this summer, potentially leaving Giddey with a ton of usage on his plate in the backcourt next season.

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Undergoes ankle surgery
Giddey recently underwent a successful right ankle arthroscopy, the Bulls announced Wednesday.
Giddey is scheduled to start basketball activities in approximately three months and is expected to return for the start of training camp, so this is unlikely to impact his stock ahead of fantasy basketball drafts. Across 54 regular-season appearances for the Bulls in 2025-26, Giddey averaged 17.0 points, 9.1 assists, 8.3 rebounds, 1.9 three-pointers and 1.0 steals in 32.1 minutes per game.
