  • Nets' Maxwell Lewis: Diagnosed with fractured tibia

The Nets announced Friday that Lewis has been diagnosed with a fractured left tibia, and his status will be updated in four weeks, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports. Lewis suffered the severe injury just over a minute into his Nets debut in Wednesday's 130-113 loss to the Raptors, after Brooklyn had recently acquired him from the Lakers. While he appears to have avoided a season-ending injury and doesn't look as though he'll require surgery, the four-week timeline is merely a re-evaluation date, so Lewis should be expected to miss additional time beyond that. The second-year forward will most likely be sidelined through the All-Star break.
