  • Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Just misses double-double

Markkanen logged 21 points (5-14 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 9-10 FT), nine rebounds and six assists across 37 minutes during Thursday's 115-107 loss to Charlotte. The 26-year-old forward just missed his 19th double-double of the season. Markkanen got a new frontcourt partner for this one as rookie Taylor Hendricks made his first start of the season, but it didn't seem to impact his production. Markkanen drained multiple three-pointers for the ninth straight game, averaging 21.6 points, 7.8 boards, 3.2 threes and 2.1 assists over that stretch.

  • Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Struggles from field

Markkanen had 20 points (6-23 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 14 rebounds and three assists in 34 minutes during Thursday's 140-137 loss to the Warriors. Markkanen converted just two of his 12 attempts from two-point range during Thursday's loss. However, the star forward's team-high 14 rebounds helped him post his 18th double-double of 2023-24. Markkanen has yet to score fewer than 10 points in 46 appearances this season.

  • Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Leads all scorers in win

Markkanen posted 33 points (12-18 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and one steal over 36 minutes during Tuesday's 124-117 win over the Thunder. Markkanen scored at least 30 points for the second time in the past 10 games, recording his 16th double-double of the season. Coming off a breakout season in 2022-23, Markkanen has improved his production this year. He has been a first-round player in nine-category leagues, averaging 23.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.9 steals and 3.3 three-pointers. Barring any significant personnel changes, Markkanen's value should remain relatively steady moving forward.

  • Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Double-double in Thursday's loss

Markkanen posted 28 points (10-15 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and one steal across 33 minutes during Thursday's 127-124 loss to the 76ers. It's the 16th double-double of the season for Markkanen. The 26-year-old forward has gone nearly a year without failing to sink at least one three-pointer in a game -- the last time he came up empty from beyond the arc was March 3 of last season against the Thunder -- and he's drained multiple threes in 15 of 17 games since the beginning of January, averaging 23.8 points, 8.8 boards, 3.3 treys and 2.4 assists over that stretch while shooting 50.8 percent from the floor and 43.8 percent from long distance.

  • Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Comes up short of double-double

Markkanen chipped in 13 points (4-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds and two assists in 27 minutes during Monday's 147-114 loss to Brooklyn. Markkanen didn't have a good shooting performance and finished with only 13 points in 12 shots, but he also hauled in single-digit rebounds for the fourth time across his last five outings. Even though that might sound like a rough stretch on paper, Markkanen continues to perform well as Utah's primary offensive weapon. Over his last 10 appearances, he's averaging 24.3 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.

  • Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Drains season-high six threes

Markkanen amassed 29 points (11-20 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and three steals across 33 minutes during Thursday's 123-108 win over the Wizards. The 26-year-old forward led all scorers on the night as he set a new season high in made three-pointers. Markkanen has topped 20 points in nine of the last 10 games while recording five double-doubles. Over that stretch, he's averaged 25.1 points, 9.7 boards, 3.2 threes, 2.6 assists and 0.8 steals while shooting 50.3 percent from the floor, 44.4 percent from beyond the arc and 90.0 percent from the free-throw line.

  • Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Delivers double-double

Markkanen had 26 points (7-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 10-11 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and one steal across 36 minutes during Thursday's 134-129 loss to the Thunder. Markkanen continues to produce on both ends of the court for the Jazz, and the big man now has five double-doubles over his last seven outings -- a span in which he's scored 20 or more points each time as well. His two-way contributions make him a strong fantasy option across all formats, and he's averaging 25.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game over 10 appearances this month.

  • Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Shines with 29 points in win

Markkanen provided 29 points (8-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 10-11 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals across 33 minutes during Saturday's 132-125 victory over the Lakers. Markkenen was stellar throughout the contest but went to the locker room briefly in the second half due to a hand injury. He was able to finish the game, though he scored just four points in the fourth quarter. The Jazz have won five consecutive games thanks to Markkanen's excellent play, and the veteran put up excellent numbers against a brutal schedule, including the Nuggets, Bucks and Sixers. With excellent play throughout the starting five, the fantasy stocks of Utah's producers are trending upward.

  • Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Leads team with 22 points

Markkanen finished Friday's 145-113 victory over Toronto with 22 points (7-11 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and one steal in 29 minutes. Markkanen's multi-dimensional output has been a critical piece of Utah's recent success. The Jazz have gone 9-2 since Markkanen's full-time return, and with the rest of the roster playing at a high level, Utah's upward trend is likely to continue.

  • Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Racks up double-double in win

Markkanen ended Wednesday's 124-111 victory over the Nuggets with 26 points (6-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 12-12 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and one block across 32 minutes. Markkanen's stellar play has been a key ingredient in Utah's recent success, and he recorded his third consecutive double-double in the decisive victory. Although Nikola Jokic scored 27 points in the loss, he struggled to contain Markkanen, who was able to find success in the paint against the All-Star. The Jazz have won nine of its last 11 games, making Utah's starting five an undervalued source of production.

Markkanen and Jordan Clarkson served as the Jazz's co-leading scorers on the night, with the former also securing his 11th double-double of the season and making a rare contribution in the blocks category after he had swatted away just four total shots over his previous 14 outings. The Finnish forward did most of his damage in the first half, securing 11 of his points and nine of his boards as the Jazz raced out to a 31-point halftime lead on the road against the 25-12 Bucks.

Markkanen is averaging 22.6 points on 49.4 percent shooting (including 37.1 percent from three), 7.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists over 30.4 minutes per game since his return from an eight-game absence Dec. 13.

  • Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Not listed on injury report

Markkanen (hamstring) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's game against the Raptors. Markkanen was sidelined for Thursday's win over the Pistons due to left hamstring injury maintenance after playing 36 minutes and posting a 26-point, 10-rebound double-double during a loss to the Cavaliers on Wednesday. However, the talented big man will return to action versus Toronto and presumably won't have any minute restrictions.
