  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Paces bench in win

Santos provided 14 points (3-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-8 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one block across 26 minutes during Saturday's 99-94 victory over the Cavaliers. The 23-year-old got to the charity stripe often and provided a spark off the bench, finishing as Golden State's second-leading scorer behind Pat Spencer (19). Although Santos was efficient from downtown and set a new season high in scoring, his 14 points marked his first outing in double figures across 17 regular-season appearances. The third-year forward hasn't been a consistent part of the Warriors' rotation of late, and he isn't guaranteed to see the floor when the team is at full strength.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Sees 12 minutes

Santos chipped in four points (2-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), one rebound and one assist across 12 minutes during Thursday's 99-98 loss to the 76ers. Jimmy Butler (knee) joined a growing injury report in Golden State, allowing Santos to sneak back into the edge of the rotation. Santos has 16 appearances to his name this season, but he's averaged just 7.6 minutes per contest.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Slides back to bench

Santos isn't part of the starting lineup for Friday's game against Portland. With the Warriors down multiple starters for the second night of a back-to-back set, Santos made a spot start Wednesday, but he'll return to the second unit Friday. The 23-year-old played 18 minutes as a starter, and he hadn't seen more than 12 minutes in a game previously.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Starting Wednesday

Santos is part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Miami, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports. Santos will make his first start of the campaign Wednesday, stepping into the first unit due to the absences of Jimmy Butler (back), Draymond Green (illness), Jonathan Kuminga (knee) and Al Horford (toe). Santos hasn't logged more than 12 minutes in a game this season.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Quiet outing in preseason finale

Santos added seven points (3-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt), three rebounds, an assist and a steal over 23 minutes in Friday's 106-103 preseason loss to the Clippers. Despite tying with Buddy Hield to lead the bench unit in minutes played, Santos did not capitalize on the opportunity, despite having an efficient outing. Santos will likely be backing up Draymond Green at the power forward position to start the season but will have to contend with Jonathan Kuminga, Gary Payton and Buddy Hield for playing time.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Staying in Golden State

The Warriors exercised Santos' $2.2 million team option Sunday. Santos saw his playing time increase significantly at the start of the new year. He finished the 2024-25 regular season averaging 4.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists over 13.6 minutes per game in 56 contests (two starts). The 2022 second-round pick will likely be on the Warriors' summer league squad and will look to play well enough to earn a larger role in the rotation for the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Sees 16 minutes in defeat

Santos notched two points (1-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt), five rebounds and one block across 16 minutes during Wednesday's 121-110 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals. After barely touching the floor in the postseason prior to Wednesday, coach Steve Kerr mixed things up and gave Santos a shot, but he wasn't able to make much noise. As for the regular season, Santos was mostly an end-of-bench rotation player, making 56 appearances with 4.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists on 45.8 percent shooting in 13.6 minutes per contest. The Warriors hold a $2.2 million option on Santos for 2025-26.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Fares well off bench

Santos amassed four points (2-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt), four rebounds, six assists and two steals in 24 minutes during Sunday's 148-106 win over San Antonio. Although he struggled shooting the ball, Santos made a strong impact on the game elsewhere. Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) left this game early, meaning Santos could see more run in the short term. He's only worth monitoring in very deep leagues, however, as his usage rate is very low.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Struggles in spot start

Santos recorded five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT) and seven rebounds in 21 minutes during Saturday's 97-94 win over the Knicks. Santos moved into the starting lineup, with Draymond Green shifting to the center spot, resulting in Quinten Post sliding to the bench. Despite the promotion, Santos struggled to deliver anything of note, tallying single-digit points for the fifth time in the past seven games. While he has managed to carve out a somewhat consistent role for himself, Santos remains more of a placeholder than a valuable piece.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Starting vs. New York

Santos is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Knicks, John Dickinson of 95.7 The Game San Francisco reports. The Warriors are tweaking their frontcourt for this contest and Santos will start at power forward, moving Draymond Green to center. Santos has made just one start this season, tallying five points, seven rebounds and three assists in 21 minutes in a win over the Timberwolves on Jan. 15.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Will play Saturday vs. Chicago

Santos (knee) is available for Saturday's game against the Bulls. Santos will return Saturday from a one-game absence due to a left knee injury. He has averaged 6.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists over 17.8 minutes per game over his last 10 outings.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Questionable to play Saturday

Santos (knee) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Bulls, John Dickinson of 95.7 The Game San Francisco reports. Santos was unable to play in Thursday's 120-112 loss to the Lakers due to left patella tendinitis, and the injury has put him in jeopardy of missing Saturday's contest. Santos has averaged 5.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists over 16.7 minutes per game since the beginning of January. Still, it's unclear how his role in the Warriors' rotation will change following Golden State's acquisition of Jimmy Butler on Wednesday.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Early exit Wednesday

Santos did not play in the second half of Wednesday's 131-128 loss to Utah due to left patella tendinitis, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports. Santos logged four points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT) before exiting Wednesday. Considering the contest was the first leg of a back-to-back set, it wouldn't be surprising to see Santos sit Thursday against the Lakers. If that's the case, Pat Spencer and Jackson Rowe could see more minutes.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Scores season-high 19 points

Santos provided 19 points (7-10 FG, 5-6 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal over 27 minutes during Thursday's 131-106 victory over the Bulls. Santos had one of his most efficient performances of the season and scored in double digits for the fourth time across his last eight outings. The Brazilian has recently experienced a more significant role off the bench and has taken full advantage of the opportunity. Over that eight-game stretch, Santos is averaging 8.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists while logging 21.0 minutes per game.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Season-best effort on glass

Santos produced five points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), seven rebounds and three assists across 21 minutes during Wednesday's 116-115 win over the Timberwolves. The second-year forward made his first career start with Draymond Green (illness), Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) and Kyle Anderson (hamstring) all sidelined, and while Santos didn't make a significant impact, he did pull down a season high in rebounds. Green shouldn't be out long, but there should still be a substantial role for Santos in the Golden State frontcourt when he returns to the bench -- he's played more than 20 minutes in three of the last four games, averaging 7.3 points, 4.5 boards, 2.8 assists, 1.8 threes and 1.0 steals during that span while shooting 52.6 percent from the floor and 53.8 percent (7-for-13) from long distance.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: First career start Wednesday

Santos will start in Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves. It'll be the first career start for Santos, who has come off the bench in each of his 38 appearances since 2023-24. The 22-year-old has reached double figures in scoring in two of his last three games, but it's hard to imagine the Warriors making this a long-term move once the team is healthier. That said, Santos will have a chance to return enhanced fantasy value Wednesday.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Solid outing in win

Santos had 13 points (4-6 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals over 26 minutes during Thursday's 107-104 victory over the Pistons. Santos had his best game of the season for the Warriors during Thursday's win against Detroit. With Draymond Green and Jonathan Kuminga out, Santos saw a significant boost in minutes, playing 26 to help shoulder the load. The 22-year-old made the best of those minutes with an efficient shooting night, hitting four three-pointers in six attempts while grabbing five rebounds and two steals.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Recalled to NBA

Golden State recalled Santos from the G League's Santa Cruz Warriors on Monday. Santos has seen most of his reps at the G League level, and that's likely to continue. He'll likely be back with Santa Cruz prior to the G League Winter Showcase.

  • Warriors' Gui Santos: Recalled to NBA

The Warriors recalled Santos from the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League on Saturday. Santos will likely continue to bounce back and forth between the NBA and the G League. In five appearances for Golden State this season, Santos is averaging 1.2 points and 1.0 rebounds in 4.0 minutes.
