The Grizzlies waived four players Saturday, parting ways with Miles Norris, Miye Oni and Armando Bacot as well as Pereira. The Brazilian could find opportunities in the G League for the 2024-25 season and could suit up with Memphis' affiliate, the Hustle, once he clears waivers.

Pereira will have the opportunity to make the Grizzlies' roster during fall training camp after signing an Exhibit 10 pact. The 24-year-old signed two 10-day contracts with the club in the 2023-24 campaign, during which he averaged 6.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks across 17.4 minutes in seven games.

Playing in just the seventh game of his career, Pereira recorded his first NBA double-double. He has now played at least 30 minutes in two straight games, making the most of his opportunities. While he is someone to consider picking up, his role is far from secure given the current state of the Grizzlies roster. Feel free to take a chance on him, but don't be surprised if he is out of the rotation at some point soon.

Pereira agreed Tuesday with the Grizzlies on a 10-day contract, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Due to an extensive list of injuries, the Grizzlies have been granted an additional hardship roster spot, which they will reserve for Pereira. The 23-year-old forward has averaged 10.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 assists in 23.7 minutes across 40 appearances for the G League's Mexico City Capitanes in 2023-24.
