Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault said Monday that Dort (hamstring) is "certainly not close" to playing, Rylan Stiles of BricktownBuckets.com reports. Stiles suggests that Daigneault might have been talking about Dort's status for Monday's game against the Warriors rather than speculating on the forward's availability moving forward, but Dort still appears likely to miss Wednesday's game in Houston before potentially returning at some point thereafter. While Dort was previously sidelined for Friday's 112-100 win over the Cavaliers, Aaron Wiggins replaced him in the starting five and logged 10 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in 31 minutes.... Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Ruled out Monday
Dort (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Warriors. Dort continues to deal with a right hamstring strain and will be unavailable for a second consecutive game. Aaron Wiggins and Ousmane Dieng will likely continue to see increased run Monday.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Out vs. Cavs
Dort is out for Friday's matchup against the Cavaliers due to a strained right hamstring. Dort has been one of the most stable forces on the Thunder this season, missing just one game (Dec. 7 against the Grizzlies). Since then, he's averaged 14.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 30.0 minutes. In Dort's absence, Aaron Wiggins, Kenrich Williams, Ousmane Dieng and other wings are candidates to see more action.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Pulls down 11 boards
Dort totaled 22 points (8-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 126-106 win over the Pacers. The 11 rebounds represented a season-high mark for Dort, who also made an impact in the scoring column and as a defensive asset. He's now scored 22 points in back-to-back games and has averaged 15.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game across nine January appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Puts up 22 points Sunday
Dort totaled 22 points (6-10 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds and two assists over 36 minutes during Sunday's 112-102 victory over the Nets. With rookie Jalen Williams finishing with just one point on 0-for-9 shooting from the field, Dort stepped up to provide the Thunder with a third scoring option behind star guards Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey, who paced the team with 28 points apiece. Though Dort's excellent shooting performance was a welcome development, it's probably safe to view it as an outlier, given that he had converted at a 39.3 percent rate from the field over his first seven games of January. With Williams having taken on more responsibilities on the offensive end of late, Dort's fantasy value appears to be slipping, as he typically offers little in other categories when his three-point shots aren't falling. He owns modest averages of 4.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.3 blocks per game for the season.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Limited impact in win
Dort had four points (1-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal over 38 minutes during Thursday's 133-114 win over Philadelphia. Although Dort played 38 minutes Thursday -- his highest total since Dec. 23 -- he was inefficient from the floor and was held to a single-digit scoring total for the first time since the start of the calendar year. Over his six appearances in January, he's averaged 14.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 30.2 minutes per game, and Thursday's performance seemed to simply be an anomaly due to inefficiency.... Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Scores 18 on 20 shots
Dort produced 18 points (7-20 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal across 30 minutes during Sunday's 120-109 win over the Mavericks. Dort struggled from the field and finished with more shot attempts than points scored, but he still ended with a solid fantasy line. He's now scored in double digits in six games in a row, averaging 17.8 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the field and 50 percent from deep in that stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Lights up C's for 23 points
Dort finished with 23 points (8-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals across 28 minutes in Tuesday's 150-117 win over the Celtics. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (illness) was sidelined for the front end of the back-to-back set, but the Thunder didn't miss the star guard, as Oklahoma City dismantled one of the NBA's top teams thanks to a quintet of players clearing the 20-point mark. In Dort's case, he did so while shooting more efficiently than usual from the field and three-point range, and he supplemented his offense with some counting stats on the defensive end. Dort is now averaging 16.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.9 triples and 1.4 steals in 30.4 minutes per game over his last eight outings.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Strong showing from three
Dort contributed 22 points (7-13 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound, two assists and two steals across 28 minutes during Thursday's 121-113 loss to the Hornets. Dort led the team from deep en route to a 20-point performance in Thursday's loss. Dort notched his highest scoring total since posting 24 points Dec. 17 against Memphis, connecting on a season-high mark from three.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Average production in win
Dort accumulated 14 points (5-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal over 38 minutes during Wednesday's 101-98 victory over the Trail Blazers. Dort had an average shooting night and turned in his usual production on the glass and as a passer. However, he did come up with a key stop on Damian Lillard to seal the game for Oklahoma City. The Arizona State product has scored in double figures in five of his last six matchups, averaging 14.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists over this stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Leads Thunder with 24 points
Dort finished Saturday's 115-109 victory over the Grizzlies with 24 points (8-14 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 5-8 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in 31 minutes. Dort led the Thunder in scoring early, knocking down three of seven field goal attempts for 10 points in the first quarter, including both of his attempts from beyond the arc. He followed that up by going 4-of-6 from the field for 11 points in the second half while adding four boards as the Thunder managed to close out Memphis down the stretch. The guard scored a team-high 24 points in the contest and also recorded his highest shooting percentage (57.1 percent) so far in the month of December.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Not on injury report
Dort (hand) is absent from the Thunder's injury report ahead of Saturday's game against the Grizzlies. Dort left Friday's game against the Timberwolves early due to a hand injury. He compiled three points (1-7 FG, 1-5 3PT), one rebound and four assists across 23 minutes before exiting. Barring any setbacks, he looks on track to take on his usual workload Saturday.... Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Exits with hand injury
Dort will not return to Friday's tilt against the Timberwolves due to a right hand sprain, Rylan Stiles of BricktownBuckets.com reports. Dort left the game after accumulating three points (1-7 FG, 1-5 3PT), one rebound and four assists across 23 minutes. The Thunder play again Saturday against the Grizzlies on the second night of a back-to-back set, so the wing's status is certainly up in the air.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Knocks down season-high four threes
Dort finished Wednesday's 110-108 loss to Miami with 18 points (6-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one steal in 34 minutes. Dort scored 13 points in the first half on 5-of-8 shooting, including 3-of-5 three-point attempts, as the Thunder fought to keep pace with Miami heading into the break. He could only knock down one more shot in the second half on four attempts but did contribute four assists over the final two quarters, along with one steal and one rebound. Dort connected on a season-high four three-pointers in the contest and has scored in double figures in six of his last seven.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Feeble effort in return
Dort closed with seven points (3-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt), one rebound and one assist in 22 minutes during Saturday's 110-102 loss to the Cavaliers. Dort was a non-factor in the loss, failing to offer anything of note. Despite a relatively consistent role, it has been an underwhelming season thus far for Dort. He currently sits outside the top 150, offering upside in basically steals and triples only. He is probably a player who should be rostered, although there is certainly a case for dropping him, especially given his lack of overall appeal.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Returns to starting lineup
Dort is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Cleveland, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports. Dort will replace Jalen Williams in the starting five after missing Wednesday's game due to a left knee contusion. The fourth-year forward has started in all 24 of his appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Not on injury report
Dort (knee) isn't on the injury report for Saturday's game against Cleveland. Dort sat out Wednesday against the Grizzlies due to a left knee contusion, but he'll be back in action following a one-game absence. Over his last four appearances, he's averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 32.3 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Won't play Wednesday
Dort has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against Memphis due to a left knee contusion. Dort was a late addition to Oklahoma City's injury report, and he'll be unable to suit up due to his knee issue. Kenrich Williams (knee) has also been ruled out, so Jalen Williams and Aaron Wiggins should see increased run against the Grizzlies.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Double-double against Atlanta
Dort racked up 11 points (4-16 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and one block in 32 minutes during Monday's 121-114 win over the Hawks. The double-double was the first of the season for the fourth-year forward. Dort still isn't quite matching last year's scoring pace as he isn't taking as many shots, but his efficiency has improved in recent weeks. Over his last 12 games, the 23-year-old has averaged 15.7 points, 4.8 boards, 2.1 assists and 2.1 threes while shooting 44.2 percent from the floor and 41.0 percent from long range -- both of which would be career highs if he maintained that pace over a full campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Back on track
Dort had 14 points (6-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists and two steals over 32 minutes during Monday's 105-101 loss to the Pelicans. Dort was held to three points on 1-for-4 shooting Saturday against the Rockets, but he looked much improved Monday as he contributed across the board and put together his best passing night since Nov. 5 against Milwaukee (seven assists). The 23-year-old has scored in double figures in four of his last five matchups and is averaging 13.7 points through 21 games this season.... See More ... See Less
