  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Coming off bench for Play-In

Jaquez isn't part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Bulls, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Jaquez will return to his regular reserve role Wednesday after nabbing a spot start in the Heat's regular-season finale. In 66 games this season, Jaquez averaged 8.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists across 20.7 minutes.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Erupts for career-high 41

Jaquez recorded 41 points (17-25 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-7 FT), 10 rebounds and seven assists in 41 minutes during Sunday's 119-118 loss to Washington. With Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo and other key Heat players resting ahead of the Play-In Tournament, Jaquez stepped up with a career-best scoring effort in a losing cause. However, the second-year wing hadn't scored more than 14 points or attempted more than 10 field goals in a game since Jan. 9, so Sunday's massive volume isn't likely to be repeated in the postseason, even if he retains a significant role in Miami's rotation.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Efficient outing off bench

Jaquez registered 11 points (5-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists and one steal across 14 minutes during Friday's 153-104 victory over New Orleans. Jaquez has received inconsistent playing time recently for the Heat but logged 14 minutes during Friday's blowout victory. The second-year forward capitalized on this playing time by scoring efficiently and recording just his fourth outing of the season with at least five rebounds and five assists.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Nears double-double in win

Jaquez amassed 14 points (6-9 FG, 2-2 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists and three steals in 24 minutes during Monday's 120-94 victory over the Wizards. Jaquez bounced back from playing limited minutes over his last three games with a strong performance against Washington. The second-year big man has now scored 14 points or more nine times for Miami, but only four times off the bench like he did Monday. Jaquez could see increased playing time going forward if Andrew Wiggins (hamstring) and Duncan Robinson (back) remain sidelined.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Sliding to bench Sunday

Jaquez won't start in Sunday's game against the Hornets. Duncan Robinson will supplant Jaquez in the starting five on Sunday. The 24-year-old forward has started in each of the club's last three outings, averaging 5.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks across 24.3 minutes per contest.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Unproductive again in loss

Jaquez notched four points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one block in 15 minutes during Friday's 102-98 loss to the Rockets. Jaquez's sophomore slump continued Friday, as he scored single-digit points for the seventh time in the past eight games. After a somewhat promising rookie campaign, Jaquez has struggled to carve out a consistent role, despite the fact that those around him have not played particularly well. Through 58 games played, he is averaging just 8.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 21.8 minutes per contest.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Balanced effort in starting lineup

Jaquez posted six points (3-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt), 11 rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and one steal over 30 minutes in Monday's 116-95 loss to New York. Jaquez got the starting nod Monday with Andrew Wiggins (leg contusion) inactive, doing a little bit of everything while leading all Miami players in rebounds and assists to go along with a team-high-tying pair of blocks. Jaquez recorded his fourth double-digit rebound total, and he has handed out seven or more assists on three occasions.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Back to bench role

Jaquez is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies. The Heat will be tweaking their starting lineup for this contest, and Jaquez will return to the bench role he's had most of the season. Jaquez is averaging 7.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.7 steals per game when coming off the bench this season.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Will play Friday

Jaquez (ankle) has been cleared to play in Friday's game against the Timberwolves, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. After missing the last three games due to a right ankle sprain, the second-year forward will make his return to action. Jaquez had been a fringe rotation player prior to getting hurt, playing fewer than 15 minutes in each of his last three appearances.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Ruled out for Wednesday

Jaquez (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers. Jaquez will miss a third straight game for the Heat while nursing a sprained right ankle. The second-year big man has regressed in his sophomore season in Miami, with his playing time and scoring going down, even though his rebounds per game have gone up at 4.6 per contest. Duncan Robinson and Haywood Highsmith may get a boost in minutes with Jaquez on the mend.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Ruled out Monday

Jaquez (ankle) is out for Monday's game against Washington, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. Jaquez will join Andrew Wiggins (ankle) on the sidelines Monday, freeing up plenty of minutes on the wing in Miami's rotation. Jaquez will look to end a three-game absence with an ankle sprain Wednesday against Cleveland. With the second-year forward out against the Wizards, the Heat could turn to Duncan Robinson and Haywood Highsmith for expanded roles.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Doubtful for Monday

Jaquez (ankle) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Wizards. Jaquez appears likely to miss his second straight game Monday with his right ankle sprain. Assuming he'll be ruled out, his next chance to play comes Wednesday against Cleveland.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Exits early with ankle sprain

Jaquez has been ruled out for the rest of Friday's game against the Pacers due to a right ankle sprain. Jaquez sprained the ankle early in the third quarter and was helped off the floor before going to the locker room. X-rays on his ankle came back negative, but the sprain is severe enough for him to be sidelined for the rest of Friday's contest, and it puts him in jeopardy of missing Sunday's game against the Knicks. The second-year wing started in place of Andrew Wiggins (ankle) and recorded 11 points (4-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 14 minutes prior to his departure.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Heads to locker room Friday

Jaquez went to the locker room early in the third quarter of Friday's game against the Pacers due to a right ankle injury, Will Manso of Local 10 Miami reports. Jaquez got the start Friday in place of the injured Andrew Wiggins (ankle). Jaquez appeared to turn his right ankle and needed help off the court before heading to the locker room. Kyle Anderson, Haywood Highsmith and Duncan Robinson are all candidates to see their minutes increase in the second half should Jaquez not return.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Getting chance with starters

Jaquez is starting Thursday's game against the Mavericks. Jaquez will step into the starting rotation following the update that Bam Adebayo (knee) is sitting Thursday. Jaquez's last start dates back to Jan. 15 against the Lakers. He's averaging 14.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.8 steals in his last six chances as a starter.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Good to go Wednesday

Jaquez (illness) said he'll be available for Wednesday's game against the Thunder, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Jaquez was held out of Monday's contest due to illness, but he'll be back in action against OKC. In the four games leading up to his absence, Jaquez averaged 9.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists across 20.5 minutes.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Iffy with illness

Jaquez (illness) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Thunder. After missing Monday's game against the Celtics, Jaquez remains iffy to suit up for the Heat on Wednesday due to an illness. The team will likely wait until closer to tipoff to update the second-year forward's status. If Jaquez remains sidelined against Oklahoma City, Alec Burks would figure to be the direct beneficiary for fantasy purposes after making his first start of the season against Boston.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Available to play

Jaquez (illness) is available for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers. After missing Monday's win against the Magic, Jaquez will shake off his probable tag and is expected to be back in the rotation. With Jimmy Butler suspended through the trade deadline, Jaquez could see plenty of shot attempts with the second unit in the short term.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Probable for Wednesday

Jaquez (illness) has been listed as probable for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. After missing Monday's win against the Magic, Jaquez is trending toward returning to the floor Wednesday to take on the Cavaliers in Miami. The second-year forward is averaging 9.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game, shooting 44.2 percent from the floor and 31.7 percent from beyond the arc this season.

  • Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Not playing Monday vs. Orlando

Jaquez (illness) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Magic, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Jaquez is dealing with a stomach bug, which is severe enough for him to be held out of Monday's contest. His next chance to play will be Wednesday against the Cavaliers. With Jaquez out and Jimmy Butler suspended indefinitely, Pelle Larsson and Nikola Jovic should both see a significant increase in playing time.
