Scotty Pippen: Among roster cuts
Pippen was waived by the Lakers on Monday, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
Pippen is a candidate to return to the Lakers' G League affiliate in South Bay, with whom he averaged 21.4 points, 5.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.6 steals over 27.9 minutes per game across 19 regular-season appearances in 2022-23. The 22-year-old was one of the Lakers' two-way players last season, but he saw action in just six games at the NBA level.

Scotty Pippen: Nursing ankle sprain
Pippen won't play in Monday's Summer League game against the Heat due to a sprained ankle, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Pippen was spotted on the bench with the rest of his team but wasn't in uniform, per Woike. He'll be considered day-to-day leading up to his squad's next exhibition Wednesday against the Spurs.
