Koloko won't play in any of Toronto's Summer League games due to a respiratory condition, Vivek Jacob of the Raptors' official site reports. The severity of the issue remains unclear, but Jacob relays that Koloko will still be with the team in Las Vegas for team activities. The 2022 second-round pick started 19 of his 58 appearances as a rookie, averaging 3.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 13.8 minutes per game. If healthy, Koloko should be able to compete for a reserve role in Toronto's frontcourt during the 2023-24 campaign.... See More ... See Less

Raptors' Christian Koloko: Abundant defensive production
Koloko amassed five points (2-5 FG, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists, four blocks and two steals across 20 minutes during Friday's 118-97 victory over Detroit. Koloko was a force on the defensive end Friday, racking up six combined steals and blocks, cobbling together his best game since November. With Precious Achiuwa (hamstring) sidelined and the game descending into garbage time, Koloko made the most of his time on the floor. While this was great for anyone who happened to stream him in, it is not something we should expect to see happen again anytime soon.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Cleared to play
Koloko (nose) is available for Saturday's game against the Timberwolves, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports. Koloko broke his nose during Thursday's game against the Thunder but won't be forced to miss a game. That said, he's been only a fringe rotation option lately.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Considered questionable
Koloko has been diagnosed with a fractured nose and is questionable to play Saturday against Minnesota, Vivek Jacob of the Raptors' official site reports. Koloko took a shot to the nose early in Thursday's win over the Thunder and never returned. Jacob relays that the backup center would likely don a mask if he's cleared to suit up Saturday. However, Koloko hasn't been a staple of the Raptors' rotation since mid-January, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him shut down for a few contests to heal his nose fully.... See More ... Raptors' Christian Koloko: Questionable to return
Koloko is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Thunder with a nose injury, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports. Koloko took a shot to the nose earlier in the game and headed to the locker room to deal with the bleeding before being tabbed questionable to return. Considering the update comes with just five minutes left in the game, it's unlikely his potential absence will have much impact. Regardless, Precious Achiuwa can be expected to back up Jakob Poeltl for the rest of the game.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Recalled by Toronto
The Raptors recalled Koloko from the G League's Raptors 905 on Sunday, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. This is an odd move, as the Raptors 905 are in the midst of a playoff race while Toronto is off until Tuesday, but it sounds as if the coaching staff wants to see Koloko in person instead of monitoring his G League progress. Koloko has made 46 appearances as a rookie for the Raptors, including 19 starts, and he's averaging 3.4 points and 3.2 rebounds across 14.4 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Scores 16 points
Koloko logged 16 points (8-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist and one block across 25 minutes during the 905's 135-125 win against Fort Wayne on Thursday. Reggie Perry was traded to Windy City in late February. With him gone, a position is vacant for Koloko to be the 905's starting center, which he is expected to continue being unless their NBA team recalls him. In that case, Jeremiah Tilmon would be the 905's starting center.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Back to G League
Toronto assigned Koloko to the G League's Raptors 905 on Wednesday, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Koloko was available for Tuesday's win over Chicago, but he didn't see any playing time. He'll head back to the G League along with Dalano Banton, Joe Wieskamp, Ron Harper and Jeff Dowtin.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Available to play Tuesday
Koloko will be available Tuesday against the Bulls. Koloko has been chiefly an emergency option for the Raptors lately, as he's only seen the floor four times during the month of February. It's unlikely that will change moving forward, barring some injuries to Toronto's bigs.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Dealing with ankle sprain
Koloko is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Bulls due to a left ankle sprain. Koloko and Dalano Banton (thumb) were both sent to the G League's Raptors 905 earlier Tuesday to get in a practice. Both have since rejoined the NBA team, but the two players emerged from the G League practice with injuries. Even if Koloko is cleared to play in advance of Tuesday's 7:30 p.m. ET tip time, he's unlikely to be included as a major part of head coach Nick Nurse's rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Brief G League assignment on tap
Toronto assigned Koloko to the G League's Raptors 905 on Tuesday, Vivek Jacob of the Raptors' official site reports. According to Jacob, Koloko, Dalano Banton and Joe Wieskamp will all practice with the 905 before rejoining the NBA team ahead of Tuesday's game against the Bulls. None of the three players have been featured in the rotation of late, with Koloko seeing just five total minutes of court time across Toronto's last six games.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Almost double-doubles for 905
Koloko logged nine points (4-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and one block across 25 minutes during the 905's 115-112 loss to Maine on Monday. After sitting out the Toronto Raptors' game Sunday at Memphis, Koloko was sent down to their G League affiliate. The big man was only one point short of logging a double-double. Should the seven-foot Koloko continue playing with Toronto's G League affiliate, he will continue being its starting center.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Fails to score in 17 minutes
Koloko ended Friday's 117-111 victory over the Rockets with seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals across 17 minutes. Koloko came up empty in the points department yet again Friday, the third time he has done so in the past five games. With the Raptors opting to play their primary guys big minutes on a nightly basis, Koloko's role is far from set in stone. He is someone to watch should they elect to tear things down at the trade deadline, but unless that happens, Koloko has little to no value in fantasy.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Logs double-double, four blocks
Kaloko logged 12 points (5-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds, four blocks and one steal across 29 minutes during the 905's 110-89 win over Birmingham on Wednesday. Koloko's latest log is an example of what both the Toronto Raptors and their 905 G League affiliate will expect while the seven-foot center is down there. He is expected to flirt with double-doubles and block several contested shots as the 905's starting center.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Headed back to G League
Toronto assigned Koloko to the G League's Raptors 905 on Tuesday, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. After appearing in 40 of the team's first 43 games (19 starts), Koloko has fallen out of the NBA rotation of late. The rookie second-round pick is now on his second G League assignment of the year, and he figures to see extended playing time during his stint with the 905.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Recalled to NBA club
Toronto recalled Koloko to the NBA club from the G League's Raptors 905 on Sunday, Vivek Jacob of the Raptors' official site reports. Koloko had fallen out of the NBA rotation of late, so he was sent to the G League to get some extended run in. However, Toronto now has a trio of injuries to deal with, so the rookie second-round pick has been elevated and will likely garner a depth role if one or more of the Raptors' injured players is ruled out. Koloko appeared in 40 of the team's first 43 games (19 starts) and averaged 3.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 15.6 minutes during that stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Blocks six shots
Koloko logged 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt), seven rebounds, six blocks, three assists and one steal across 31 minutes during the 905's 135-126 win Saturday at Wisconsin. Koloko logged more blocks Saturday than he did as an NBA player across the first half of January. The second-round NBA draft selection will continue receiving opportunities to block shots. Currently, Koloko has little to no competition in terms of working as the 905's starting center.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Sent to G League
Koloko has been assigned to the G League's Raptors 905, Vivek Jacob of the Raptors' official site reports. The rookie second-round pick was a consistent part of Toronto's game plan to start the year, appearing in 40 of the team's first 43 games (19 starts) and averaging 3.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 15.6 minutes. However, Koloko has completely fallen out of the rotation of late and received his first G League assignment of his career. He figures to see an expanded role while with the 905.... See More ... Raptors' Christian Koloko: Back to bench
Koloko will operate off the bench Monday against the Pacers, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Koloko drew back-to-back starts with Fred VanVleet sidelined with a back issue, but the veteran point guard is back in the mix Monday, sending the rookie back to the bench. Across 15 games as a reserve, Koloko has averaged 3.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 12.7 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Christian Koloko: Starting Thursday
Koloko will join the starting five for Thursday's game against the Grizzlies. Koloko will receive the starting nod with Fred VanVleet (back) absent Thursday. In 17 starts this season, Koloko has averaged 4.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks over 19.2 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less
