Magic's Jalen Suggs: Out at least two weeks
Suggs has been diagnosed with a mild bone bruise in his right knee and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Suggs suffered the injury during Sunday's win over the Knicks when his right knee buckled following a layup attempt. Fortunately, further testing revealed no major structural damage, though the 25-year-old will miss at least two weeks before being re-evaluated. Anthony Black and Jase Richardson could see increased opportunities in Orlando's backcourt during Suggs' absence.

Suggs (knee) did not return to Sunday's game against the Knicks.
Suggs exited the game late in the fourth quarter due to a non-contact right knee injury and was unable to return. He concluded the contest with four points (2-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt), six rebounds, six assists and three steals in 33 minutes. Initial reports postgame suggest that Suggs will undergo an MRI in the coming days to determine the extent of the injury.

Suggs went down with an apparent right knee injury during Sunday's game against the Knicks and needed to be helped to the locker room, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.
Suggs couldn't put much pressure at all on his right leg as he was helped back to the locker room, so for now, he should be considered doubtful to return. Anthony Black will likely be elevated to a starting role if Suggs needs to miss time, and there will be more minutes available for Jase Richardson.

Suggs racked up six points (2-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, five assists and two steals over 32 minutes during Wednesday's 132-125 loss to the Hawks.
Suggs struggled to find any rhythm Wednesday, managing just six points despite playing 32 minutes. He did rack up a pair of steals, providing fantasy managers with some respite. Perhaps the biggest positive to come out of the game was the fact that he played in excess of 30 minutes. Missed games have been a major issue for Suggs throughout his career, up to and including last season. Those who drafted him this season will be hoping he can finally stay on the floor.

All three of Suggs' baskets came from beyond the arc, and he pulled down five rebounds despite playing fewer than 13 minutes -- he was battling an illness prior. The efficient perimeter shooting and defensive activity offered a productive snapshot of his two-way contributions before Orlando turns its attention to the regular season.

Magic's Jalen Suggs: Could play off ball more often
Philip Rossman-Reich of Orlando Magic Daily believes Suggs is best utilized as a spot-up shooter and in catch-and-shoot situations.
Suggs is coming off a disappointing playoff run, having averaged 11.1 points per game on 29.9 percent shooting from the field and 24.1 percent from three-point range last postseason. Rossman-Reich also thinks a healthy Magic team is paramount to maximizing Suggs' strengths in an off-ball role after the guard was forced to operate more on the ball last year due to injuries to Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner. Suggs should see enough playmaking opportunities to be worthy of a late-round pick in fantasy leagues, but the emergence of Anthony Black, who's coming off a breakout 2025-26 campaign, could remain a worrisome presence at point guard for Suggs' managers.
