Kurucs totaled six points (2-9 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, two steals, and two blocks in 33 minutes during Tuesday's 123-121 victory over Sacramento.
Kurucs played 33 minutes Tuesday, continuing to roll with the starting five despite inconsistent production. He had only six points but at least delivered a combined four steals and blocks to salvage his line. Kurucs has failed to top eight points in four consecutive games but does have six steals and seven blocks in that period. The Nets have only one more game this week and so Kurucs can be dropped in most formats.
Kurucs had another solid outing in his third consecutive start in Saturday's win. His 16 points included four triples and a huge dunk where he posterized and stared down Alex Len. Kurucs has filled out the stat sheet nicely in his three recent starts, and he is shaping into a fine daily option at a still-affordable price.
Kurucs collected 10 points (4-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, three blocks, and one assist in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 113-107 win over the Cavaliers.
Kurucs recorded a career high block total while reaching double figures in scoring and hauling in at least six boards for the third straight game. The 21-year-old rookie isn't consistent enough to make an impact outside of deeper leagues, but he has been a key cog all season since joining the starting lineup in mid-December.
Kurucs recorded 19 points (7-12 FG, 5-7 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 24 minutes in Monday's 127-88 victory over the Mavericks.
After a stretch of starting earlier in the season, Kurucs had been delegated to the bench until Monday night, where he started and showed out with a 19-point shooting display. The rookie shows that he can do it all by stuffing the stat sheet in every category all the while nailing five three-pointers. Kurucs may not start upon the return of Treveon Graham, but he has certainly earned more minutes or consideration for that role.
Kurucs will start at power forward Monday against the Mavs, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
With Treveon Graham ruled out due to injury, Kurucs will get the nod in his place. The rookie started a number of games at small forward earlier this season, but this would represent his first start as the nominal power forward. Kurucs is coming off of an 11-point, seven-rebound outing Saturday against Miami.
