Dort managed 12 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and one rebound across 15 minutes during the Thunder's 92-87 win over the Trail Blazers in a Las Vegas Summer League game Thursday.
Dort has seemingly taken to summer league play with a chip on his shoulder after going undrafted this past June. The Arizona State product is now averaging 9.3 points (on 50.0 percent shooting) and 1.8 rebounds across just 16.8 minutes during four games in Las Vegas, with his efficiency particularly standing out.
Dort totaled 15 points (6-12 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and three rebounds across 18 minutes during the Thunder's 84-81 overtime win over the 76ers in a Las Vegas Summer League game Monday.
The undrafted rookie took a big step up from a modest effort in the Thunder's summer league opener, pacing the OKC bench in scoring in the process. Dort remains a relative long shot to garner a spot on the final roster, but the 20-year-old guard could potentially secure a training camp invite with an impressive enough string of performances in Las Vegas.
Dort signed a two-way contract with the Thunder on Friday, Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com reports.
Dort going undrafted was one of the surprises Thursday night after he had a stellar freshman season at Arizona State. While Dort's shooting numbers weren't great, hitting just 30.7 percent of his threes and 40.5 percent of his shots from the floor overall, he has supreme athleticism and slashing ability, which fits the mold of the type of players the Thunder have acquired during the draft in recent years.
