Brian Hoyer's career in Houston got off to a cold start on Sunday.
The Texans quarterback, who beat out Ryan Mallett for the starting job, threw an interception on his first regular-season pass ever with the Texans.
The bad news for the Texans is that the pick came on a play where Houston was deep in its own territory.
On first-and-10 from the Texans 7-yard-line, Hoyer was looking to hit DeAndre Hopkins, but instead, the ball landed in the arms of Chiefs defensive back Marcus Peters.

Two plays later, Alex Smith hit Travis Kelce to give the Chiefs an early 7-0 lead.
