With Jeremy Kerley limited to two catches for 19 yards, Jets wide receiver Clyde Gates made a surprising contribution out of the slot Week 6 against the Steelers, leading the team with a season-high five catches for 36 yards. His seven targets were second only to Stephen Hill's eight.
Gates didn't make it to the end of the game, though, leaving early in the fourth quarter with a shoulder injury.
He'll no doubt be looking to build off this performance if he's able to play Week 7 against the Patriots, but right now, his status is unknown.
