LOOK: Broncos' Shane Ray got a tattoo of Kansas City Chiefs' logo
The Broncos' first-round pick from a year ago got a tattoo that might not make the fans in Denver happy.
Shane Ray's one-year anniversary with the Denver Broncos is less than two months away. So, he marked the occasion by getting a tattoo of the Kansas City Chiefs -- as if this offseason wasn't difficult enough for Broncos fans.
OK, so that probably isn't why Ray decided to cover his entire back in a tattoo of Kansas City. But that's the only part I lied about.
Shane Ray, a player the Broncos drafted in the first round last year, actually did get a full-back tattoo of Kansas City -- and that includes the Chiefs' logo.

As the photo caption explained, Ray got the tattoo as a way to pay tribute to his hometown. He wasn't declaring his allegiance to the Chiefs. And he wasn't hinting that he'll sign with the team when his rookie contract expires.
But all of that became irrelevant the second many Broncos fans were given a glimpse of his new artwork. Let's take a peek at some of the comments from Mile High Report, the Broncos' SB Nation site.
"You can be polroud of where you came from...
Without getting the tattoo of a rival in your back. The tattoo overall is badass, but it could be without that disgusting arrow head." -- LH_Almeida
"question, whats it going to be like when your in the lockerroom with your Bronco teamates...
and your teamates see a rival symbol on your back… id piss me off"-- LoneDuck13
"seriously I love the artwork of a city but I think it's bull---- he put his division rival Arrowhead in there It's actually sickening
Wonder what Elway thinks of that lol" -- tjg342011
OK, so that's not to say there weren't any Broncos fans who defended Ray's decision -- many did -- but there was enough hate on the Internet that Ray ultimately decided to issue a defense of his tattoo.
Listen people! I love the Broncos and I bleed orange and blue. Don't let a representation of pride and art upset you. Let's get this work

Ray recorded four sacks in his rookie season. He might need to double that number to make Broncos fans forget about this.
