LOOK: Packers draft pick takes call from team while in the delivery room with baby
This is probably an NFL Draft first
Former Auburn defensive lineman Montravius Adams was probably pretty excited on Friday when the Packers selected him during the third round of the NFL Draft. However, it's probably safe to say that it wasn't the most exciting thing that happened to him this week, and that's because Adams welcomed a newborn baby into the world.
Adams' girlfriend, Lateisha Ray, gave birth just hours before the Packers called.
The baby boy, named Montravius Jr., clearly has some smooth timing because he arrived just in time to watch his dad get drafted by Green Bay.
As you can see below, Adams was actually in the hospital holding his newborn when the Packers called him to let him know they were making him the 93rd overall pick in the draft.

That's Adams in the middle of the photo holding his newborn son and talking on the phone. As you can see, no one in the room is cheering and that's probably because the baby's napping. I think that's the baby's way of telling us that his dad was a sleeper pick.
Anyway, when Adams gets to Green Bay this weekend, he might want to think about asking the Packers to throw some diapers into his rookie contract because those things can get expensive.
if you've been watching the draft this year, you may have noticed that babies have become an underlying theme of the event in 2017.
After being selected in the first round on Thursday, Broncos draft pick Garett Bolles brought his newborn baby to stage with him when he went to hug NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
