Ravens release WR Brandon Stokley
Two months after signing 37-year-old Brandon Stokley, Baltimore has released the receiver.

Nearly two months after signing him to a deal, the Ravens announced Saturday afternoon that they have released receiver Brandon Stokley.
Although his 45-catch, 544-yard, five-touchdown season last year in Denver was his best since 2008, he turned 37 in June and caught only nine passes for 79 yards in three games this season in Baltimore (he missed last week’s game with a groin injury and was listed as questionable this week).
The move isn’t a huge surprise. Jacoby Jones will be back soon, and even though Jones, Deonta Thompson and Marlon Brown are listed as questionable this week, the receiving corps is slowly getting healthier. That leaves Stokley odd man out -- at least for now.
In a corresponding move, the Ravens signed tight end Billy Bajema -- who had been released earlier in the week to make room for new tackle Eugene Monroe.
But have no fear, Brandon. There’s a good chance you won’t be unemployed for long.
Brandon stokley is expected to be re-signed by ravens as soon as monday so likely a temporary roster move
