If the Packers can't agree on a long-term deal with cornerback Sam Shields, they might slap the franchise tag on him for approximately $10 million, reports the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. The paper considers Shields, 26, one of the team's most important unrestricted free agents along with tight end Jermichael Finley and defensive tackle B.J. Raji.
