WATCH: Ex-Jets player misspells 'Jets' while announcing their pick at 2017 NFL Draft
Tony Richardson is better at football than spelling
Tony Richardson is a lot of things, including a very good football player. He was a three-time Pro Bowl fullback who played for the Jets from 2008-2010, and on Friday he was on stage at the 2017 NFL Draft in Philadelphia to announce the Jets' third-round pick.
And ... well, he had a little trouble spelling the 'Jets.'
Could be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure that's not how you spell Jets. #NFLDraft #JETE pic.twitter.com/MdHaiCbyZk

Should've spotted him the "t" too, we guess. The good news: The Jets added a much-needed playmaker in Alabama wide receiver ArDarius Stewart, who upgrades a wide receiver corps that includes Eric Decker, Quincy Enunwa and not much else in terms of experience.
The J-E-T-E! Jets jets jets??? Nailed it pic.twitter.com/P9TLTRLRQz

As far as inspirational draft-day speeches go, Drew Pearson, without question, remains in the top position. But we're moving Richardson into the second spot strictly because nobody saw J-E-T-E coming. "Jets" is literally plastered on the side of the helmet.
