Keenan Robinson: Hanging up cleats
Robinson has elected to retire, Mike Rodak of ESPN.com reports.
Robinson, who's been in the league since 2012, signed in late July with the Bills but apparently wasn't in line for meaningful snaps and might not have even made the team. This will be one less question mark for Buffalo, which already has several decisions to make regarding an unproven linebacking corps.

Bills' Keenan Robinson: Inks deal with Bills
Robinson (quad) signed a contract with the Bills on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Robinson, according to Joe Buscaglia of WKBW.com, should provide some competition at the bottom of the Buffalo depth chart with the likes of Tanner Vallejo, Deon Lacy and Julian Stanford. His 2017 campaign for the Giants ended with a move to injured reserve for a quad issue, so his signing is likely an indication that Robinson is healthy as training camp approaches.

Giants' Keenan Robinson: Placed on IR
Robinson (quadriceps) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Michael Eisen of the Giants' official site reports.
Robinson suffered a quad injury in Week 9's loss to the Rams, bringing his season to a sudden halt. The veteran linebacker missed the first two games of the season with a concussion but then went on to play in the next six contests (three starts) -- recording 32 tackles (20 solo) in the process. Look for Jonathan Casillas to take on a larger role for the remainder of the season with Robinson sidelined.

Giants' Keenan Robinson: Set to sit Sunday
Robinson (quadriceps) is listed as out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Five of the Giants' top six linebackers are nursing injuries right now, leaving just three healthy options. Starter Jonathan Casillas (neck) is currently questionable to play Sunday, but if he can't go either, expect Deontae Skinner to make the start at weak-side linebacker.

Giants' Keenan Robinson: Hurts quad
Robinson injured his quadriceps Sunday against the Rams and is questionable to return.
Robinson missed a pair of games to begin the season due to a concussion, but he's been playing significant snaps due to Jonathan Casillas' neck injury. The 28-year-old has compiled 30 tackles (20 solo) so far this season, and his injury makes the Giants' linebacker corps even thinner.

Giants' Keenan Robinson: Leads team in tackles
Robinson led the Giants in tackles with nine (six solo) in Sunday's 24-7 loss to the Seahawks.
Robinson has yet to record a sack or turnover this season, but he continues to be involved in the tackle department. He was on the field for 67 snaps (88 percent), so his relatively high workload should lead to more opportunities for tackles, sacks and takeaways going forward.

Giants' Keenan Robinson: Clears concussion protocol
Robinson (concussion) was a full participant at Giants practice Thursday, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
Robinson has finally cleared the league-mandated protocol after sustaining a concussion in early August. The 28-year-old will likely resume a role as a special teams contributor and backup to Jonathan Casillas.

Giants' Keenan Robinson: Out for Monday's game
Robinson (concussion) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Detroit, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Robinson is used mostly as a depth linebacker and special teamer, so his loss won't alter the game plan too much. Should veteran starter Jonathan Casillas fall victim to the injury bug, J.T. Thomas seems like the likely replacement.

Giants' Keenan Robinson: Limited participant Friday
Robinson (concussion) was a limited participant at in the Giants' practice Friday.
This is good news after Robinson did not practice Thursday in addition to last week. The 28-year-old has been in the concussion protocol since early August and remains a question mark for Monday night's game against the Lions.

Giants' Keenan Robinson: Ruled out for Week 1
Robinson (concussion) will not play in Sunday's season opener against the Cowboys.
Robinson has been in the concussion protocol for over a month now, and since the linebacker was still unable to practice this week, his absence Sunday comes as no surprise. Robinson should be considered week-to-week at this point, while Jonathan Casillas is expected to take majority of the snaps at weak-side linebacker this weekend.

Giants' Keenan Robinson: Still not practicing
Robinson is still in concussion protocol and sat out of practice Wednesday.
Robinson suffered this concussion over a month ago and missed the entire preseason. Little has been said about his progression through the protocol, so it seems farfetched that he'll be ready to go Sunday against the Cardinals. Expect the fully-capable Jonathan Casillas to take a majority of snaps at weak-side linebacker.

Giants' Keenan Robinson: In concussion protocol
Robinson is currently going through the league's concussion protocol, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
Robinson took a blow to the head on Thursday and could miss a week or more if it's confirmed that he suffered a concussion. If he's forced to sit out, look for Deontae Skinner to see some additional time with the second-team defense.
