Cyprien (hamstring) was waived off injured reserve by the 49ers on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old landed on injured reserve with the hamstring issue in mid-November, but he's now been let go by the 49ers. Cyprien will be able to join a new team once he clears waivers and is fully healthy.

Cyprien agreed to terms on a one-year deal with San Francisco on Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Cyprien tried out for the team Tuesday, and as evidenced by this news, impressed the team enough to stay in the Bay Area. After dealing with a season-ending injury each of the past two years, the veteran is healthy and looking for a chance to prove himself. The last time Cyprien was fully healthy, he suited up in all 16 games for Jacksonville in 2016, supplying 127 tackles (96 solo), one sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He'll likely add solid veteran depth behind safeties Jaquiski Tartt and Jimmie Ward heading into the 2020 season.

Falcons' Johnathan Cyprien: Lands on IR
Cyprien was placed on injured reserve with a foot injury Tuesday, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Cyprien was originally traded to Atlanta on Sep. 30 from Philadelphia. In his lone game as a Falcon on Sunday against Houston, the 29-year-old recorded two total tackles. Kemal Ishmael and Jamal Carter are the remaining healthy strong safeties in Atlanta.

Cyprien is being traded along with a 2020 seventh-round pick from the Eagles to the Falcons in exchange for Duke Riley and a 2020 sixth-round pick, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Cyprien had mostly been limited to special teams across four games with the Eagles, and he'll now have a shot at carving out an increased role in Atlanta. With Keanu Neal (Achilles) on IR, the Falcons were in need of depth at the safety position.

Cyprien (knee) has received full medical clearance, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Cyprien did not play last season after suffering a torn ACL during training camp, and he was ultimately cut by the Titans back in March. Now, fully recovered and 28 years old, Cyprien should draw plenty of interest from NFL teams and should have no issues finding a home for the 2019 season.
