The Falcons re-signed Kwiatkoski on Thursday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports. Kwiatkoski was released ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline, but he's since returned to team after the Falcons opened up numerous roster spots by placing a plethora of players on IR. The veteran linebacker is expected to share backup duties with rookie Troy Andersen behind the starting duo of Rashaan Evans and Mykal Walker.... See More ... See Less

Nick Kwiatkoski: Released by Atlanta
The Falcons released Kwiatkoski on Tuesday, Jeff Schultz of The Athletic reports. Kwiatkoski signed a one-year deal with Atlanta in May after appearing in eight games for the Raiders in 2021. He was expected to compete for a depth role at inside linebacker, but the return of Deion Jones made Kwiatkoski the odd man out. The 2016 fourth-round pick will look to find a new NFL opportunity before the start of the 2022 campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Falcons' Nick Kwiatkoski: Signing with Falcons
Kwiatkoski is signing a one-year contract with the Falcons, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Kwiatkoski appeared in eight games for the Raiders in 2021 while dealing with an ankle issue, and he totaled 21 tackles (13 solo) and a forced fumble. Following two seasons in Las Vegas, the 28-year-old will attempt to carve out a depth role in Atlanta.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Nick Kwiatkoski: Won't return Sunday
Kwiatkoski (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against Washington. Kwiatkoski dealt with an ankle injury ahead of Sunday's matchup, and he'll be unable to finish the game. He didn't record any tackles prior to his departure, and it's not clear whether he'll be available for the team's Week 14 matchup against Kansas City on Dec. 12.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Nick Kwiatkoski: Questionable to return Sunday
Kwiatkoski (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against Washington. Kwiatkoski came into the contest with an ankle issue, so there's concern that he may have aggravated his previous injury. The backup linebacker mostly operates on special teams, so his absence shouldn't have an impact on the Raiders' defensive rotations.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Nick Kwiatkoski: Questionable against Washington
Kwiatkoski (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against Washington. Kwiatkoski has been inactive for the team's last three games, but after logging three limited practices during the week he has a chance to return. He is a key to the Raiders' special-teams unit and should feature in that role if he suits up.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Nick Kwiatkoski: Not featuring against Dallas
Kwiatkoski (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports. The veteran linebacker already missed last week's game against the Bengals, and, in fact, he's yet to play a defensive snap since Week 7 when he featured in 11 of them against the Eagles. Expect Denzel Perryman to act as his replacement again.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Nick Kwiatkoski: Won't suit up Sunday
Kwiatkowski (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports. Kwiatkowski sustained an ankle injury in last week's loss to the Giants and was unable to practice ahead of Sunday's matchup. Marquel Lee will serve as the primary depth option at middle linebacker.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Nick Kwiatkoski: Injures ankle Sunday
Kwiatkoski (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Giants. Kwiatkoski injured his ankle during the second half of the Raiders' Week 9 contest against the Giants. If he is unable to return, then Marquel Lee will likely operate as the primary backup to Denzel Perryman.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Nick Kwiatkoski: Questionable to return
Kwiatkoski (foot) is questionable to return Sunday against the Broncos, according to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com. Kwiatkoski picked up the injury in the second half, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to return. His absence would deplete the team's secondary, though, and Kwiatkoski's absence would mean even more snaps for Denzel Perryman.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Nick Kwiatkoski: Working as backup
Kwiatkoski has mostly handled backup reps throughout the early days of training camp, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports. Kwiatkoski started in all 12 of his appearances for Las Vegas last season, but it appears that the team views him as a reserve option going forward. Though the sixth-year linebacker is coming off the best season of his career, having notched 81 total tackles, he won't be worth fantasy consideration if his snap share diminishes.... See More ... Raiders' Nick Kwiatkoski: Optimistic about return
Kwiatkoski underwent testing on his pectoral injury Sunday, and it's not expected to be a long-term issue, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Kwiatkoski suffered this injury during Sunday's season opener versus the Panthers and was quickly ruled out of the game, so it sounded like a potentially serious injury. He'll undergo an MRI that will provide an official diagnosis, but it appears he won't face a lengthy recovery. If he misses any time, though, Raekwon McMillan is expected to be the starting middle linebacker.... See More ... See Less -
Raiders' Nick Kwiatkoski: Ruled out after injury
Kwiatkoski (pectoral) will not return to the team's Week 1 contest against the Panthers. Kwiatkoski was making his debut for the team and logged six tackles prior to his exit. The Raiders will hope he is able to return for a Week 2 matchup against the Saints.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Nick Kwiatkoski: Notches third sack of season
Kwiatkoski recorded a sack and five tackles in the Bears 21-13 loss to the Packers on Sunday. Kwiatkoski continues to be a solid IDP option while Danny Trevathan misses time, as he's averaged seven tackles over the last four weeks, and if Trevathan misses the Week 16 home contest against the Chiefs, Kwiatkoski will be a solid lineup option for fantasy managers.... Bears' Nick Kwiatkoski: Highly productive in victory
Kwiatkoski notched 10 tackles in the Bears' 31-24 win over the Cowboys on Thursday. Kwiatkoski's been filling in for Danny Trevathan, and he's seen a full-time snap share in four of the last five games. During that time, he's posted at least eight tackles on three occasions, making him a strong IDP option as long as Trevathan remains sidelined.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Nick Kwiatkoski: Solid performance
Kwiatkoski recorded eight tackles in the Bears' 24-20 win over the Lions on Thursday. With Danny Trevathan missing his third straight game, Kwiatkoski filled in nicely and finished second on the team in tackles. However, he's been inconsistent with his starting opportunities, making him a risky IDP option as long as Trevathan continues to miss time.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Nick Kwiatkoski: Finishes 2017 with 49 tackles
Kwiatkoski registered a pair of sacks and a forced fumble along with 49 tackles in 11 games in his second season with the Bears. Kwiatkoski became a regular in the Bears' linebacker corps in Week 10 after injuries and suspensions left the Bears thin at the position. After collecting sacks in two straight games, he failed to notch another in any of the last six games. He also failed to exceed three tackles in any of his first four starts, but he finished the season on a high note while averaging 8.67 tackles in the last three games of the year. He's signed for the next two years, but unless he can permanently move into the starting lineup he won't be a reliable IDP.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Nick Kwiatkoski: Sacks quarterback in second straight contest
Kwiatkoski recorded a sack and three tackles in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Lions. Although Kwiatkoski has recorded four or fewer tackles in three of the four games he's played this season, he's collected sacks in each of his last two matchups. He's not an elite IDP option at linebacker, but his production in the two games since returning to the lineup makes him an interesting streaming option while he stays hot.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Nick Kwiatkoski: Active Week 7
Kwiatkoski (pectoral) is active for Sunday's tilt against Carolina. Kwiatkoski has sat out the Bears' last four games. Now that he's back, look for Kwiatkoski to return to the starting lineup and bump Christian Jones back to a depth role.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' Nick Kwiatkoski: Inactive Monday
Kwiatkoski (pectoral) is inactive for Monday's game against the Vikings. Kwiatkoski was originally listed as doubtful to play, so him being ruled out Monday isn't a surprise. With fellow inside linebacker Danny Trevathan (suspension) not playing either, the Bears will turn to a combination of John Timu, Christian Jones and Jonathan Anderson to man the middle of the defense....
