  • Vikings' Ryan Kelly: Lands on IR

The Vikings placed Kelly (concussion) on injured reserve Wednesday, Craig Peters of the team's official site reports. • Vikings' Ryan Kelly: Ruled out for Week 17

Coach Kevin O'Connell said Tuesday that Kelly (concussion) will not play Saturday against the Lions, Ben Goessling of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports. Kelly suffered his third known concussion of the 2025 season last Sunday against the Giants. It would be extremely surprising if he plays again this season. Look for Michael Jurgens to be under center against Detroit.

  • Vikings' Ryan Kelly: Undergoing concussion evaluation

Kelly is questionable to return to Sunday's Week 16 game against the Giants due to a possible concussion. Kelly was hurt on a Vikings running play midway through the second quarter. Michael Jurgens has taken over at center for Minnesota.

  • Vikings' Ryan Kelly: Cleared to play Week 16

Kelly (knee) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Giants. Kelly produced a DNP-LP-LP practice log due to a knee injury, but the veteran offensive lineman has been cleared to play in Sunday's contest, when he'll likely start at center.

  • Vikings' Ryan Kelly: Sidelined to start week

Kelly (knee) did not practice Wednesday. It's unclear when Kelly suffered the knee injury, though he's had an injury-plagued season, suiting up for only seven games. He has two days to improve his practice participation to have a chance to suit up Sunday against the Giants.

  • Vikings' Ryan Kelly: Logs full practice Thursday

Kelly (hip) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. Kelly hurt his hip against Seattle on Sunday and began this week with a limited practice session. However, his ability to upgrade to full participation Thursday likely means he'll be good to go for this Sunday's clash against the Commanders. If that's indeed the case, Kelly should start at center, as usual.

  • Vikings' Ryan Kelly: Held back at practice

Kelly (hip) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice. Kelly suffered a hip flexor during last week's loss to the Seahawks, putting his status in question ahead of the Week 14 matchup versus the Commanders. Michael Jurgens will start at center if Kelly is inactive.

  • Vikings' Ryan Kelly: Activated from IR, playing Sunday

The Vikings activated Kelly (concussion) from injured reserve Saturday, and he does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Packers. Kelly has cleared the league's concussion protocol and will play Sunday for the first time since Week 4. His return means Michael Jurgens will revert to a reserve role on the offensive line.

Kelly (concussion) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Packers. Kelly remains on injured reserve but was designated to return last Wednesday, opening his 21-day practice window. Kelly has been sidelined since Week 4 due to a concussion but appears closer to making his return. • Vikings' Ryan Kelly: Getting closer to return

Head coach Kevin O'Connell told reporters Monday that Kelly (IR, concussion) will begin working off to the side of practice this week, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports. O'Connell also noted that this doesn't necessarily mean the Vikings will open Kelly's 21-day practice window, it's just a step in the right direction for his return. The veteran center was placed on injured reserve in early October after sustaining two concussions through Minnesota's first four games.

  • Vikings' Ryan Kelly: Sent to injured reserve

The Vikings placed Kelly (concussion) on injured reserve Saturday. Kelly has already sustained two concussions this season and has a history of concussions, so the Vikings are giving him time to fully recover. • Vikings' Ryan Kelly: Won't return vs. Steelers

Kelly (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against Pittsburgh. Kelly remained in the locker room after halftime while being evaluated for a head injury, and the veteran center has entered the league's concussion protocol. It's the second time Kelly has entered concussion protocol this season; it prevented him from playing Week 2 against the Falcons, and he is in jeopardy of missing the Vikings' Week 5 clash against the Browns on Sunday, Oct. 5. With Kelly sidelined, Michael Jurgens will remain at center for the rest of the game.

Kelly (toe) did not participate in Thursday's practice. Kelly has opened the week with back-to-back DNPs due to a toe injury that he likely picked up during Minnesota's Week 1 win over Chicago. • Vikings' Ryan Kelly: Slated to sign with Minnesota

The Vikings are slated to sign Kelly to a two-year, $18 million contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Selected 18th overall in the 2016 Draft, Kelly spent the first nine seasons of his career with the Colts but is set to move on ahead of his age-32 season. Kelly started just 10 games last season, missing two with a neck injury and another five following a knee scope. In total, Kelly started 121 games across his nine seasons with Indianapolis and was named to four Pro Bowls. He was a second-team All-Pro in 2020. Kelly's best football is likely behind him, but the Vikings hope he's an upgrade over Garrett Bradbury at center.

The veteran offensive lineman has missed the Colts' last four games after being placed on IR due to a knee injury, but Wednesday's return to practice suggests he's almost past the issue. • Colts' Ryan Kelly: Confident in return this season

Kelly underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and expects to play again in 2024, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports. Kelly was sent to the Colts' injured-reserve list ahead of Week 10, so he'll be required to sit out until at least Week 15 at Denver. Whether Indianapolis feels there's any urgency to rush him back at that point could depend on its position in the AFC playoff picture, or lack thereof.

The Colts placed Kelly on injured reserve Tuesday with a knee injury. Kelly had been listed on the Colts' Week 9 injury report with knee and calf injuries, but he played every snap in this past Sunday's loss to the Vikings. His condition may have worsened during the game, however, and while Kelly's knee injury isn't expected to be season-ending, he'll be sidelined for the next four games after being placed on IR. In Kelly's absence, rookie fourth-round pick Tanor Bortolini is expected to take over as the Colts' starting center.
