    Day signed a one-year contract with the Browns on Monday, Anthony Poisal of the team's official website reports. Day made seven appearances for Cleveland last year and totaled 21 tackles, two pass deflections and one sack. The 2016 fourth-round pick figures to garner a similar role again in 2022.

    Day signed with the active roster from the Browns' practice squad Tuesday. Day was a fourth-round selection by the Jaguars in 2016 and has since spent time with San Francisco, Indianapolis and now Cleveland, since leaving Jacksonville, Day has made two previous appearances on the active roster in 2021, totaling 55 defensive snaps and seven tackles (two solo).

Day kicked off the 2019 campaign as a backup in San Francisco, but he was thrust into a starting role Week 11 following a season-ending injury to D.J. Jones (ankle) and performed admirably in that role. He'll provide the Colts with depth at defensive tackle.
