Stallworth will have to miss the 2023 season with his move to IR, unless he can reach an injury settlement with the Texans. According to his agent, as relayed by Aaron Wilson as well, that is what is expected to happen. If it does, Stallworth will be free to sign with any team once he can prove himself healthy.

    The Texans re-signed Stallworth to a one-year contract Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. In 2022, Stallworth made one appearance for the Texans, who claimed the undrafted defensive tackle out of South Carolina off waivers in December. Apparently, Houston liked what they saw from the veteran and have opted to retain him for the 2023 campaign. Stallworth was a solid rotational piece for the Saints (2018-2019) and the Colts (2020-2021), but he's never been an IDP asset with career highs of 16 tackles and three sacks in a season.
