The Giants selected Williamson with a seventh-round choice in April's draft, but the Minnesota product never made an appearance for Big Blue. The 23-year-old will now get a chance as a developmental piece for the Falcons, a team that has recently absorbed injuries to its starting safeties Keanu Neal (ankle) and Ricardo Allen (concussion).
