He practiced in limited fashion prior to the team's Week 2 matchup, but now looks ready for his season debut in Week 3 against Cleveland. Anderson is likely to play primarily on special teams.

Anderson was listed as a limited practice participant this past week due to a lingering knee injury, but he hasn't progressed enough in his recovery to play Thursday. His next opportunity to make his 2025 regular-season debut is Week 3 against Cleveland on Sunday, Sept. 21.

    Anderson signed his exclusive rights free-agent tender with the Packers on Monday, Zach Kruse of USA Today reports. Anderson is set to return to Green Bay where he racked up 16 tackles (13 solo) and an interception in 16 games during the 2024 campaign. The 28-year-old will likely serve as one of team's top backup safety options behind Xavier McKinney and Evan Williams and can contribute on special teams as well.

    Anderson has been diagnosed with a concussion and has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against Minnesota. Anderson got shaken up during a kickoff return in the first quarter, and further tests determined that he had suffered a concussion during the play. He'll enter the league's five-step concussion protocol, which he'll need to clear in order to play against Chicago in Week 18. With Javon Bullard starting at strong safety for Evan Williams (quadriceps), Kitan Oladapo will serve as the Packers' backup safety for the rest of Sunday's game due to Anderson's injury.
