  • Vikings' Joejuan Williams: Resuming career in Minnesota

    Williams (shoulder) signed with the Vikings on Monday, Lindsey Young of the team's official site reports. Williams missed the entire 2022 season after having surgery on his shoulder, but he's healthy again and ready to resume his NFL career with a new team. The cornerback was drafted by the Patriots in the second round in 2019, but Williams was limited to a depth role in New England's secondary prior to the shoulder injury.

    Williams (shoulder) recently underwent surgery, Michael Giardi of NFL Network reports. Williams was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, and his shoulder issue ultimately required surgery. The 2019 second-rounder will now shift his focus toward a lengthy recovery process ahead of the 2023 season.

    Williams will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2022 campaign after suffering a shoulder injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. It's unclear when Williams suffered the injury, but it's believed to be serious enough to knock him out for the entire season. The 2019 second-round pick appeared in nine games for New England last year, recording five tackles and one pass breakup.
