  • Cardinals' Jonah Williams: Won't play against San Francisco

Williams (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports. Williams will miss his first game of the season due to a shoulder injury he picked up in Week 10 against the Seahawks. Kelvin Beachum is the top candidate to start at right tackle, but he is listed as questionable for Week 11 due to a groin injury, which leaves Josh Fryar and Demontrey Jacobs as the other options.

  • Cardinals' Jonah Williams: Healthy at camp

Williams (knee) has been healthy for the start of the Cardinals' camp, Theo Mackie of the Arizona Republic reports. • Cardinals' Jonah Williams: Working on the side

Williams (knee) is working on the side during OTAs, Jess Root of USA Today reports. The starting right tackle was placed on injured reserve on Christmas Eve last year after aggravating a right knee injury that limited him to just six games in 2024. Williams did start all six games he appeared in, and he has started all 70 games he's played in across a five-year career with the Bengals and Cardinals. Arizona signed Williams to a two-year, $30-million deal last offseason, so the team will likely try to make good on its investment this fall.

  • Cardinals' Jonah Williams: Won't play in Week 17

Williams (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's clash against the Rams, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Williams hurt his knee against the Panthers on Saturday and wasn't able to return to the game. Jackson Barton took over at right tackle for Williams in that contest. Though Barton has since reverted to the Cardinals' practice squad, he'll likely be elevated again Week 17 to start in Williams' stead.

Williams (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. • Cardinals' Jonah Williams: Officially activated from IR

The Cardinals activated Williams (knee) from their injured reserve list Wednesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports. Williams has been out since the first quarter of Arizona's first game this season due to a knee injury, but it now seems that he's finally nearing a return ahead of Week 12. Kelvin Beachum has played relatively well in Williams' absence, and coach Jonathan Gannon said Wednesday that the team would "weigh all the variables" before deciding whether to put him back into his place at right tackle once he's available again, so it sounds like even if he's fully healthy for Sunday's game at Seattle, his status as a starter may not be guaranteed.

  • Cardinals' Jonah Williams: Heading to Arizona

Williams and the Cardinals agreed on a two-year, $30 million contract Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Williams will head to Arizona after spending the first five seasons of his career with the Bengals. The offensive tackle requested a trade ahead of the 2023 campaign but ultimately stuck it out in Cincinnati. With Paris Johnson likely set to be the Cardinals' left tackle moving forward, Williams projects to take over as the team's starting right tackle in 2024.

  • Bengals' Jonah Williams: Participating in camp

Williams (kneecap) participated in the first week of Bengals training camp, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. After a February knee surgery, a March trade request and a position switch to right tackle, Williams is entrenched with the Bengals' first-team offense during the early stages of camp. The former left tackle has started all 42 games he's played in over three NFL seasons. With Orlando Brown now at that position, Williams should play on the other side if he remains healthy for 2023.

  • Bengals' Jonah Williams: Requests trade Friday

Williams (kneecap) requested to be traded from the Bengals on Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Following the team's signing of Orlando Brown on Wednesday, Williams wants out of Cincinnati. The offensive tackle has made 47 career starts at left tackle and seemingly appears to want to stay in that role moving forward. The 25-year-old would instantly become the best tackle available on the market if he does get set free.
