Jake Metz: Picked up by Eagles
Metz was claimed off waivers by the Eagles on Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Metz played in three preseason games with the Eagles before getting waived Wednesday. The 26-year-old played played for Philadelphia's arena football team last season and is now looking to make the jump to the NFL. He figures to be a candidate for the practice squad, but he will look to make an impression in the limited time remaining at camp.

Jake Metz: Doesn't make roster in Buffalo
Metz was waived by the Bills on Tuesday, Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News reports.
Metz was attempting to make the jump from arena football to the NFL, but he was unable to show enough to be kept around. If there is no other NFL interest, he could head back to the arena scene.

Bills' Jake Metz: Inks deal with Bills
Metz signed with the Bills on Friday, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.
Metz has made his name in arena football since going undrafted out of Shippensburg in 2014. The defensive end won the Arena Football League title with the Philadelphia Soul last year, and then went on to lose in the China Arena Football League's championship game back in November. After failing to make the Eagles' roster ahead of last season, Metz will now try his hand with the Bills.
