  • Buccaneers' Derrek Pitts: Full go Wednesday

Pitts (hamstring) was a full participant during Tampa Bay's practice Wednesday.

Pitts missed the Week 4 win against New Orleans while tending to a hamstring injury. It appears he was able to fully recover during the Buccaneers' bye Week 5, and he should be good to go for Sunday's contest versus Detroit. Barring injuries to Tampa Bay's other cornerbacks, Pitts will likely contribute mostly on special teams moving forward.

  • Buccaneers' Derrek Pitts: Won't play at Saints

Coach Todd Bowles said Friday that Pitts (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game at New Orleans, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.

For the second time in four games, Pitts will sit out in Week 4 as he works through an injury. Tampa Bay's secondary is riddled with health issues and could be vulnerable even if backup Jameis Winston starts for New Orleans.

  • Buccaneers' Derrek Pitts: Unavailable for walkthrough

Pitts (undisclosed) was estimated as a non-participant at the Buccaneers' walkthrough Wednesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Pitts logged 18 defensive snaps in the team's loss to the Eagles on Monday, recording two tackles. With Jamel Dean (shoulder) also considered a non-participant at the walk-through, Tampa Bay could be thin in the secondary Sunday versus the Saints.
