Alek Torgersen: Let go by Arizona
Torgersen was waived by the Cardinals on Monday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
After going undrafted in 2017, Torgersen spent much of the year with a couple of different practice squads. He's since seen short stints with the Lions and Cardinals but has been unable to impress during that time. After Monday's release, Torgersen will once again head to the open market, but he'll likely be nothing more than a camp arm if he lands a deal elsewhere.

Cardinals' Alek Torgersen: Claimed by Cardinals
Torgersen was claimed off waivers by Arizona on Thursday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Torgersen was waived by the Lions on Wednesday. He didn't see the field at all as a rookie in 2017, only going so far as to end the year on Detroit's practice squad. He'll be a long shot to make the Cardinals' roster in 2018, but he is a candidate for the practice squad once again.

Alek Torgersen: Waived by Detroit
Torgersen was waived by the Lions on Wednesday.
Torgersen's dismissal corresponds with Detroit's signing of veteran Matt Cassel, who will join a quarterback room that also includes starter Matthew Stafford and his incumbent backup, Jake Rudock. Torgersen will be free to sign with any team other than the Lions should he pass through the waiver system unclaimed.
