  • Rams' Quentin Lake: Activated from IR

The Rams activated Lake (elbow) from injured reserve Tuesday. Lake practiced fully Thursday and Friday last week, so it appears he's ready to roll for Saturday afternoon's wild-card matchup against the Panthers. Lake hasn't played since he was injured in Week 11. Across 10 appearances this season, he's logged 61 tackles (37 solo), including 1.0 sacks, 10 pass breakups, including one interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery on 92 percent of the defensive snaps.

  • Rams' Quentin Lake: Won't play Week 18

Lake (elbow) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports. Lake was designated to return from injured reserve Thursday and ended Week 18 prep with back-to-back full practices, but he's not quite ready to return from a left elbow injury that has kept him sidelined since mid-November. Given his ability to log full practices, Lake stands a good chance to be activated from IR ahead of the wild-card round of the playoffs.

  • Rams' Quentin Lake: Full practice Thursday

Lake (elbow) was a full participant at practice Thursday. Lake was designated to return from injured reserve earlier in the day, and he was ultimately able to log a full practice in his return. The safety has been sidelined since mid-November while recovering from a left elbow injury and subsequent surgery. Lake will have one more opportunity to build off of Thursday's session before Sunday's matchup with the Cardinals, but it remains unclear if the Rams intend on activating him for the regular-season finale.

  • Rams' Quentin Lake: Designated to return, inks new deal

The Rams designated Lake (elbow) to return from injured reserve Thursday, and the two sides also agreed to a three-year, $42 million contract extension the same day, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. It was a busy start to the new year for Lake, whose contract extension includes $25.7 million guaranteed. The 2022 sixth-rounder is unlikely to play in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Cardinals, but Lake could be available for the Rams' postseason run. He landed on IR in mid-November after undergoing surgery to repair an elbow injury, and his return would likely result in less defensive snaps being available for Cobie Durant and Roger McCreary.

  • Rams' Quentin Lake: Placed on IR

Lake (elbow) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday. Lake underwent a procedure on his elbow Tuesday and will now be sidelined for at least the next four games. Earlier reports suggest he could miss the rest of the regular season but would likely be ready to return for a postseason run. Josh Wallace appears most likely to replace Lake as the Rams' primary slot corner.

  • Rams' Quentin Lake: Undergoes surgery

Lake underwent surgery Tuesday to repair an elbow injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Rapoport also noted that Lake could return at some point in the playoffs, suggesting that he'll likely be sidelined for the remainder of the regular season. The 26-year-old will likely be placed on injured reserve in the near future, and Josh Wallace is expected to operate as Los Angeles' top slot corner.

  • Rams' Quentin Lake: Questionable for Sunday

Lake (hip) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Cardinals, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports. Head coach Sean McVay told reporters before Friday's practice that Lake is expected to play in Sunday's contest despite being officially listed as questionable on the Rams' injury report, per Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times.
