Roberts suited up for five regular-season games with Atlanta in 2025, in which span he recorded a career-high 18 tackles (six solo), including 1.0 sack. Roberts had been unable to take the field at all since suffering an injury to his leg in Week 10 at Indianapolis, but he was able to participate at practice in a limited capacity Friday. The transaction means Atlanta could activate him to play as soon as Monday versus the Rams, but the team will likely wait to evaluate his activity at practice Saturday before making that call.

Roberts suffered an ankle injury in this past Sunday's loss to Indianapolis, and the issue is serious enough to cause him to sit out at least the next four games.
