The Raiders have ruled out Runyon (foot) for Sunday's game against the Rams.
Runyon was a full participant in practice throughout the week, after he had been limited in the Raiders' three Week 6 sessions upon having his 21-day window opened Oct. 14. If the tight end can remain free of restrictions in practices during Week 8 prep, he'll stand a good chance of being activated from injured reserve ahead of the Raiders' Nov. 1 matchup with the Jets.

Runyon logged his first full practice Wednesday since having his 21-day practice window opened heading into Week 6. The 25-year-old's practice availability also shows that a foot injury is what has kept him out for the first six weeks of the 2026 regular season. Should the second-year pro stay on track the rest of the week, he could be a candidate to make his season debut in Week 7.

Runyon opened the season on injured reserve due to a lower-body injury. His 21-day practice window opened Wednesday, and he was a limited practice participant in all three sessions during Week 6 prep. That's not quite enough for Runyon to make his 2026 debut, but his next opportunity to do so is Week 7 against the Rams on Sunday, Oct. 25.

The Raiders designated Runyon (lower body) for return to practice from their injured reserve list Wednesday.
Per Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com, it's a lower body injury that Runyon has been dealing with since late August that has kept him out for the first five games of the year. Las Vegas now has 21 days to officially activate Runyon before he'd have to spend the rest of the season on IR, and given that he was in pads for practice Wednesday, he seems like a good bet to return to action soon.

Runyon did not play in the preseason, and he's dealing with an undisclosed injury ahead of the 2026 campaign. The tight end will be forced to miss at least four contests to open the regular season, and the earliest he could return to action is Week 5 versus the Patriots on Oct. 11. Runyon was primarily as a special-teams asset in 2025, so his absence won't carry much of an impact on offense.

The Raiders signed Runyon from their practice squad to their active roster Tuesday.
Runyon was elevated from the practice squad ahead of this past Sunday's loss to Chicago and logged 15 snaps on special teams (but no offensive snaps). He subsequently reverted back to the practice squad, but Las Vegas has elected to give him a spot on its active roster. Runyon could have a hard time getting into games on offense, however, as he's behind Brock Bowers, Michael Mayer (concussion) and Ian Thomas on the tight-end depth chart.
