Titans' Trenton Cannon: Joins Titans
Cannon agreed to a contract with the Titans on Wednesday, John Glennon of SI.com reports.
Cannon spent most of the 2021 campaign with the 49ers and played only two offensive snaps in 11 contests, as most of his contributions came on special teams. The 27-year-old was productive as a return man, bringing back 16 kickoffs for 328 yards. He'll likely slot in as backfield depth and as a core player on special teams while with Tennessee.

49ers' Trenton Cannon: Activated from injured reserve
Cannon (concussion) was activated from injured reserve Saturday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Cannon was sidelined for nearly two months after sustaining a concussion in Week 13, but he returned to practice Jan. 12. The 27-year-old lost out on his kick-return duties shortly before his absence, so it's not yet clear whether he'll have a role on special teams Sunday.

The 49ers will designate Cannon (concussion) to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Cannon had to be taken off the field in an ambulance during the 49ers' Week 13 matchup against Seattle in early December, and he's been sidelined since then. Whether he's available for Sunday's wild-card matchup against Dallas remains to be seen, but it's encouraging to see the 27-year-old back at practice.

Cannon suffered the injury in Week 13 against the Seahawks and left the stadium in an ambulance. He'll keep trying to work his way through concussion protocols but in the meantime, Ambry Thomas will likely handle kick-return duties.

Cannon (concussion) has been released from the hospital, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Cannon left Sunday's game against the Seahawks in an ambulance after taking a knee to the head on the opening kickoff. It was since reported that he was in stable condition, and his release from the hospital is optimistic news. Still, he will remain in the team's concussion protocol for the time being.

The inadvertent shot Cannon took to his head certainly looked scary, but fortunately he appears to have avoided a serious injury.
