Hodge would have missed the entire 2022 campaign had he not been able to reach a settlement. Now, as soon as he is healthy enough to compete, he'll be able to pursue new opportunities with other teams.

Hodge (undisclosed) was waived/injured by the Dolphins on Monday.
Hodge signed with Miami in November, though he never managed to see the playing field with the team after being suspended for two games in mid-December. The second-year linebacker will now pass through waivers before likely reverting to the Dolphins' injured reserve, should he go unclaimed.

Hodge had his two-game suspension lifted Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Hodge hasn't played since Week 4, so his absence had little impact on the Dolphins' defense. However, now that he's been cleared to play, Hodge will work to earn a chance to provide more depth to the Dolphins' linebacker unit.
